How do i attempt cut off and O+12 in the same cycle?

If currentley in 2ww 5 dpo but am planning next months attempt if this dosent work! Im worried as have lost some weight that if i dont get pregnant soon im going to start putting the weight back on again!! I have done two months with 2 day cut offs so next month wanted to attempt a 2 day cut off with abstinence and a O+12 in the same cycle. The only thing im unsure about is if i get dh to abstain for the cut off what do i do between that and the O+12 as i thought that 2 day abstinence slightly sways boy?!
Would it be good to get dh to do frequent release for the 2 daYS inbetween or is it ok if he dosent do anything?
Any advice greatley appreciated

this is what I am thinking about doing next month for my first attempt. Abstain for 14 days then a 3 day cut-off, then have dh release on his own twice a day until an O+12. I was debating doing only an abstain with an O+12 but I think I may do this plan first. What to up my chances, this diet is very hard!

Yes that is what Atomic told me to do, because I was asking about trying this as well.....she said has DH abstain for cutoff then have him release hopefully 2x a day between cutoff and O+12! I asked my husband about it but hes only willing to DTD to release (instead of helping himself as well) and I dont have time to fit 2x a day in there!!! My 4 yr old doesnt want to go to sleep at night so Im lucky if I can get once a night in!!

Thats exactly what im worried about, dh isnt a massive fan of frequent bd, never has been sorry TMI!! Im wandering wether to try abstain and O+12 and if that dosent work maybe do a cut off and then leave it ill O+12! iT was a nightmare this month just getting him to do frequent bd over 4 days lol

Lol!! No its not TMI! My husband always THINKS he wants to DTD all the time but when it came around to last time we conceived, we tried shettles and had to DTD everyday from AF to 2 days before O (which we were off) and he was sick to death of it! But I know I sure dont want to do it 2x a day for those couple of days and he told me no way on helping himself so Im out of luck...so Im just sticking with abstaining and aiming for atleast 2 day cutoff! Just praying I get pregnant this first try as I did with my ds2 so that I wont have to continue on this strict diet and everything that goes along with swaying!! Its gotten very annoying! Lol

Completley agree with you, i thought i was the only one who had a dh that wasnt mad on bd all the time lol!! Can i ask what cut off u had with ds2? I was aimimng for a 3 day cut off with my ds2 but O'd early and it became a 1 day cut off, wasnt doing diet or anything else though back then just followed shettles for timing buut messed that up anyway

hi girls, i hear you on the frequent bd! We did that with DS and we both found it such a drag - every day from af to four days before o. That's the primary reason i am pushing for abstain this time around! ;) Girls, honestly i wouldn't stress too much about timing - i think it's a bit rubbish, esp as so many girls have been conceived on or day before o day. I was ALL for shettles and cut-offs until i read all about diet, pH etc. that makes more sense to me. Besides, if we do everything and worry about timing, we may never get pg!! :)

Babushka you are so right, i just get so panicking that i will do diet, supps ect all great and then have the wrong timing and it will mess it all up!! Its so stupid i know as i have read so many studies saying that timing dosent matter as much as everything else, im also worried as been on diet for 4 months now and dont think i cant loose anymore weight as have got down to 8 stone. Im really worried if i dont get pregnant soon i will start putting weight back on and then be unintenionally swaying blue!
Need to take a chill pill i think and if it dosent work this month will have to re think plan

Thats exactly how I feel Wishing!! This is my last chance, and I worry myself to death about messing it up by oicking the wrong timing! Though you are right Babushka, I have found a ton of successful girl sways that BD the day before and thru O! Im just too scared to do that! Wishing, Im not sure what kind of cutoff I ended up with, with ds2. Like you I had no idea about diet, supplements, or ph or any of this!! I didnt have as much CM around O like I do know and I dont remember doing OPKs, so its possible I couldve BD thru O, though I was aiming for AF to 2 days before O. It turned out that I O pretty late in the month! So now Im using OPKs and CBFM and checking CM! Ive even been having my DH check my cervix the last few nights! I feel like Shettles book left out alot of very vital information on swaying!!! So now Im watching for the fade pattern to help me with my cutoff! Ive come to peace that if I BD a little closer to O by accident, it is fine....Ive been doing the diet and supplements and my pH has stayed at 4, even with the Rephresh its been 4! So hopefully all of that will superceed timing!
Now my worry is getting rid of the EWCM ive been having!! Im using the rephresh, and Atomic is not sure how it will react with lime douche, so Im too scared to try the lime to wash it away.....Ive been taking Zyrtec but hasnt helped, and she told me to try distilled water douche but that didnt help either! How long have you been on the diet hun? Its just i noticed the first 2 months that i was on diet that i still had quite a bit of ewcm around O but now ive been on it a little longer i hardly get any!! I think it helps that i am popping about a million cranberry tabs lol ( not that id recommend that) and i also take sudafed ( dosent work for everyone as can make you groggy) which i have been doing for the past 2 cycles and think this has really helped!
I tried lime douche on my first cycle to try and wash away ewcm but ended up with a small infection so didnt try it again. I also use replens instead of rephresh as it keeps my ph down so this may have helped as well

See the crazy thing is after I got my IUD out last year I started having a ton of EWCM around O, I had never done that before.....and then about 1 monthe before I started all the supplements and diet it stopped! I didnt have hardly any, none noticeable at all when I went to bathroom or on panty liners. And then now all of a sudden this month Im having more! Very confusing!! Ive been taking 12,000 mg of the cranberry and all I drink is CL! I have been taking the Zyrtec and then last night I realized I had some childrens Sudafed so I popped a dose of that too!! LOL And this morning I dont seem to have as much FX!! BUT after I took the Sudafed I realized youre not supposed to take the Sudafed PE, because it may sway boy! EEK!! Oh well I was a weak childrens dose and only once so maybe it will be out of my system! I just went and bought more Zyrtec, and since Im so close to my attempt I figured it cant hurt to take 1 in am and 1 at night for a couple of days!

So may I ask, how did you determine when your 2 day cutoff was?? Do you O pretty much the same day every month or were you watching the fade in your OPKs?

My cycles have always been irregular ever since i started my period but for some reason the past 3 cycles have all been the same. I usually get a fade in with my opks so what i do is use the internet cheapie ones till the line is nearly as dark as the test line and then start using the didital ones, as soon as i get a positive on my digis i stop bd. That has given me roughly a 2 day cut off with each cycle. Next time though as im going for abstinence i will have to hold out till i get a positive on my digi then bd stright away and should end up with a 1.5 day cut off

I think I would be happy with a 1.5 day cutoff. Im scared about it being over 2 days, so if its a little closer that is fine with me!! Yes I also bought some cheap O predictors because they didnt have the dig ones I usually buy. So im just using the cheaper ones with my CBFM and watching both of them to fade! I havent seen anything so far and im on my 4th Hi day on my CBFM! Maybe Ill see a fade in todays OPK's! Yesterday was 7 days of abstinance so I hope thats enough. My husband doesnt seem to usually make a lot of semen (sorry TMI) anyway unless its been a few weeks! Its going to kill me not to test 50x during the 2ww!!! But I dont want to know too early because then it seems to make the beginning of the preg seem longer!! Lol I think Im going to try my best to wait until I have missed my period!

Thats a really good idea hunny!! Ive been testing since 5 dpo lol but not going to test tommorow and try not to test sunday, af should be due wednesday next week so fingers crossed!! Had loads of sharp shooting pains which i dont normally get, hope im not looking into it to much!
7 days of abstinance sounds great, anything over that sways girl! My dh dosent seem to make much either, sometimes i dont even see any tmi but i know its there lol.

I think you've gotten some great advice! That is just what I would do, abstain to cutoff and then switch to frequent release 2X a day (once a day is NOT ENOUGH) and then hit O+12. you may want to have him release in the morning of your attempt, dump it, then DTD again whenever O+12 comes around. Good luck!!!!

Thanks atomic, think im really going to struggle with the twice a day release though, dh just dosent like helping himself that much. I really would like to do a cut off and O+12 in same cycle but realistically dont see how i can. May just have to try O+12 with abstinence.

It will only be for a few days though...you could also DTD with a condom 2x a day during those days.

yeah thats a good idea, didnt really think about it properley, if i do a 2 day cut off then it will only be 2 days he has to do that

I remember you saying that, i was rereading all the posts earlier!! Hoping thats a sign hunny. I never thought id get pregnant with a 2 day cut off as tried for 3 months with ds2 and couldnt get pregnant. The first sign i had this month was really bad cramping on my left side at 5 dpo, it was so bad it woke me up at night, ive never had that before. The other thing is a sore throat and snuffly nose which up to now i had no idea that a lot of people get that in the 2ww before there bfp.

I didnt know that either!!! Great now Ill be swearing up and down I have a stuffy nose!!! Also youre BBT stays up instead of going down before AF!
