swayed for a boy but....

Hello everyone, introducing myself...I have two girls and now swaying for a boy. i tried swaying since Dec but mildly. Just ate bananas,cereal every morning, took RJ and fish oil and drank lemon water but not every single day. I also tried avoiding dairy products...and that is all!! My cycle has been weird lately...27days to 26days and 24days last cycle. Bought opks in the nick of time. Used it as soon as I got it in the mail and I saw two dark lines but test line seemed a tiny bit darker x2. Third one, which was next morning, was definitely lighter than the test line so we BD'ed that night...doggy style (TMI). Oh, and I did bsf and tried to have dh drink coffee and he only took like 3sips???? i was so mad...arghh. Also, think I saw EWCM clot about 1-2days before we BD'ed. I thought i had low chance of being preggers this time because thought I had already ovulated by the time we bd'ed but i'm not so sure. it's been 13days since we bd'ed and i kept thinking i would have my period soon but no i just keep getting nonsticky cm and just pms sporadically and sometimes water tastes bitter... I am hoping I am NOT pregnant this time because I don't think I tried enough. I was one more month to really try swaying before doing the deed. The day and the day after we bd'ed, I did not eat well and was hungry the whole time....(can you tell why I had 2girls?) This is my lifestyle...just starving myself. I tried not to do that this time around but could not break the habit totally...:( So I am so worried I might be pregnant with another girl....
SOrry about the long sob story....and thank you all for reading...I guess I needed a place to vant....I love genderdreaming...been a lurker for a few monthes now. =)

Oh and one more question. Promise this is the last one. I had laptop on me right after we bd'ed while lying down with pillow underneath and felt the laptop heating up. Felt good and it was so warm. ALso had my cellphone on top of me in bed under the blanket and the cellphone got reallt warm too. DH was telling me sperms cannot survive when they're exposed to heat and that's why the scrotums are not touching the body...Is this correct? Could I have killed most of the sperms and most likely only xx's survived??LOL I sound silly and obsessed...After writing this I realized I did a lot of things to sways...hmmm. but no this isn;t enough!!! cuase I did eat healthy diet....:nails: If there is next time which I am hoping, I am going to eat healthy and use preseed or ew....

I think you'll be okay. Also I've been reading that whole milk actually might sway boy since it's full of so many nutrients. You should really look at some of Atomics essays.
Remember even if you did every single sway method right there is still a chance of getting an opposite.

Some people, who believe in ions, actually recommend that you use a lap top a lot or put your cell phone on your belly during conception. I did the cell phone (don't have a lap top). I put it on my belly right after BD and left it there for 2 hours. We had a boy. I have no idea if that did anything to help my sway?

Anyway, if you aren't pregnant this cycle, you could work on your diet-- boy swayers should never feel hungry. When I was swaying boy, I ate all.the.time!!! Also, EW isn't recommended any more because of the possibility of salmonela. Preseed is preferred and has great results!

Does it kill a sway if you get hungry at times throughout the day? It usually only happens to me in the morning but I'm a school social worker and can't eat whenever I want. Or my small snacks don't satisfy. I try to remedy this as quick as possible but it still happens. I am getting a ton I nutrients, fruits, veg, protein, and nuts so technically food is good. Just curious.

The thing is, you don't want your blood sugar to drop, so you want to eat often (every few hours). TRy Lara Bars--they have fruits and nuts and are small, filling, and easy to eat quickly! I lived on them when I was swaying.

DDS I don't have any advice but good luck! I had the same eating patterns as you and it's been hard to change. I've read through a ton of sways and am trying to follow the HE diet as much as possible. I'm also lifting weights 3-4 times a week. Good luck to you and the rest of us boy wishers!

Was just waiting for my period to start. Didn't really think I might be pregnant until today...

I really thnk you don't need to worry too much we have the strongest and strictest of sways that don't always work and then the weakest of sways that do work, so what's there to say that yours wouldn't?

I agree with ELP I live off Larabars too the fruit nut roll one I keep them in my bag or car they are so convinient.. Sometimes I'm the same where I'm constantly rushing and always try to munch before I get hungry or atleast 2hours sometimes less..

But yes do take the pregnancy test if your really not unsure and all shall be revealed!! Lol let us know xx

So the egg can live up to 24hrs after you ovulated which means you still can get pregnant even after ovulation took place. Right?
I know many of you don't rely on SHuttles method anymore but I keep reading that if you're ttc a girl to bd after the ovulation. What is the theory behind this? Isn't this completely oppsite from shuttles method? And what is O+12 I keep seeing when ttc a girl? so I don't accidently do this...
I am now thinking maybe the best time to ttc a boy is when ur body is producing ewcm...so for next time, unlike last bd, think i'm gonna try bd when I get +opk with ewcm. What do you all think? Thanks in advance for your input.

Its more like 12 hours after O that the egg will die. O+12 is crazy and hard to time exactly so leads to lots of BFNs. The best timing method for boys is DTD every 2 - 3 days until you get the +opk, then DTD 3 times in 24hours, great if you have ewcm! More sperm = more boys :)

Hi and welcome! I'm glad you found us!!

There are some things I would change about your sway (just keeping it real) BUT as a general rule, I don't think there's any point to it if you may already be pregnant. It's not going to change anything and it will only make you secondguess yourself.

I do want you to know that EVERYONE has a chance at a baby boy or girl no matter what. Even the most perfect sways produce opposites, and you can do everything "wrong" for getting a boy and still get one! You have a good chance at your little man.

Since you may very well be pg right now with a baby boy, I strongly urge you to be taking prenatal vitamins, extra folic acid (up to 2000 mcg total including the amount in the prentatal), DHA supp like Enfamil Expecta, and be trying to eat a lot better, regular meals with protein and carbs at every meal and a good level of healthy fats.

You can absolutely get pg after ovulation has occured.

I do not believe in timing at all - not Shettles, not O+12. You can read about that here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...le-timing.html

I think that having 3-5 attempts in your fertile window is great. A little before OPK, a little after, it's all good. The odds of getting pg from O+12 attempt is very difficult anyway, so please don't worry that you might hit O+12 - you will not get pg from O+12 if you've had any earlier attempts because there will be already capacitated sperm waiting for the egg, and the O+12 sperm do not even have a chance.

Why do I hear so much about timing around the Internet?! I'm trying to deprogram myself from believing it but it still stresses me out. Why do so many people still do it? I'm in a group on babycenter and 3 girls are having boys and did timing amongst other factors I'm just so confused and I think it's be because timing was the first sway factor I learned about. Plus I'm like everyone else and want to do everything perfect!

I know, the timing thing is hard to let go of. If it helps, I got two girls with one BD--one was a cut off, 4 days before O, the other on O day. Both my boys were products of multiple BDs, starting several days before O and going through O (with DS1 we BD every day, with DS2 we BD every other day). With DS2 I am not even sure we BD on O day, because my temps were screwy!

That does make me feel better, thanks! I have heard a lot on the internet disputing it but I have also heard many success stories. I think it's more important for me to get pregnant anyway to risk timing.

My period started today!! I was so happy I almost screamed. lol
So I am fully charged to try swaying again for the next 2wks or so!
This time around I am not going to concentrate on timing but concentrate more on eating healthy and exercise. I am also going to try preseed and bsf.
I realized I bd'ed exactly 14days from today and did not get pregnant....hmmm
Glad I have a plenty of opk's to use for next time!
Will keep you guys updated on what I do and hopefully I can send lots of blue dusts to others who need it in the future! LOL

Because it's been around so long, it's the one thing that most people have heard of. Your grandma, mom, cousin, aunt, pastor's wife and the gal at the grocery store have all heard of it - even doctors and nurses - and for whatever reason it's taken on a life of its own and no one ever gets the message that it has been TOTALLY debunked. We know exactly what Shettles did wrong, the mistake that he made, and yet we still can't get rid of timing. I think a lot of people hear "timing sways" and then in their minds they turn that into "well since I got a boy that means I must have gotten pg at ovulation" even tho they actually DTD 2 times before ovulation and just forgot about those.

Hi guys!! So after reading all your posts I came up with one more question.=)
When you say DTD every 2-3days before +opk, do I do this with or without protection? I guess since timing does not matter at all no protection needed? It's becoming more confusing...my DH thinks i'm insane...LOL

During the month you are TTC forget about the protection and just go for it with the pre-seed every 2-4 days after AF until you get a +OPK. Then BD at +OPK then the next AM and PM (so aiming for 3 attempts in the 36 hrs after +OPK)

It is up to you, the important thing is that DH is releasing every 2-4 days. There may be something to regular exposure to his semen that makes you more boy friendly and the chemistry in condoms may be somewhat pink-friendly so if you are just going to TTC that month anyway, and timing doesn't sway, then you may want to just dtd unprotected in hopes that there may be a benefit to be had.
