I have 3 girls. My brother and sister both have 2 boys. My mother had boy, girl, girl, boy.
My mom had three boys then me and I have three boys so far lol .... My dad has a girl from a previous relationship tho... Only two of my brothers have kids and one had a girl first then a boy and then my other bro had GBG
My mother had a stillbirth (22 weeks gestation) baby girl and then boy,boy,girl. I have boy,boy,boy,girl.
My mum had a girl and then 2 boys, my grandmother (mum's side) had a boy and 2 girls (her son had a boy and a girl, and her other daughter had 2 girls), my other grandmother had 1 boy (my dad)........I have 5 girls, one of my brothers has 1 son and the other has no kids yet.
My mom had 2 girls and then a boy. My husband grew up with 3 sisters and no brothers. We have 2 little boys.. with a baby on the way. :)
To give a run down on my family (Im an only child)
Mothers side:
Grandmother- one of 3 girls
Grandfather- one of 3 boys, one girl
My mother, one of 2 girls 2 boys
(I have 2 cousins from my aunt, a boy and a girl)
Fathers side-
Grandfather- one of 6 boys
Grandmother- one of 2 girls, 4 boys
Father- one of 3 boys
(I have three male cousins from one of my uncles, and one of them just had their first child, a boy)
I would have had a brother, but my mother had a stillbirth.
I have 2 boys.

My MIL has 6 girls, 1 boy
My Sis has 1 boy & 1 girl. Her DH has 4 bros no sisters
SIL 1 has 1 boy so far. DH 4 bros 1 Sis
SIL 2 has 1 girl. DH 2 bros
SIL 3 has 1 boy. DH 1 bro.
My mom had 2 girls followed by 2 boys.
Her mom had 2 girls.
My dad's mom had a girl followed by 3 boys.
My brother has a girl.
I have 2 boys after just assuming for 20 years that my first child would be a girl.
I look to my dad and DH's dad more than my mom when I am looking at gender, but here is my run down...
My mom g,b,g,b ( 2 miscarriages inbetween 2 and 3)
My moms mom b, twins-g and b, then g,g,
My dad's mom - b, b, b
Dh mom - b, b, b,g
DH dads mom, one boy AND she came from a family of 7 brothers and 1 sister plus her.
So way more boys on both sides
DH's 2 brothers both have 2 boys each, sister has 2 girls and 1 boy, my sister has 2 and 2 and my moms siblings have an equal mix also.

My Dad's mom- BB (one still born boy at full term and 3 miscarriages!)

Me- B B and another B on the way! I have such a fear I have inherited my grandmother's genes!

My mom had 2 girls. My dh's mom had a boy and a girl. My sister has a boy. We are having our 4th boy and we have 1 girl.

I do not believe gender runs in families at all (at least not genetically. some families may have similar diets and lifestyles.)

My mum is the only sis and has 3 bros
My dad is 1 of 5 boys and has 1 sis.
I am 1 of 3 girls and have 1 bro
My DH is 1 of 4 boys and has 1 sis!
It's quite strange how we either have the only girl of the only boy in our family! And there's more in extended family who either have one girl or one boy
My twin and I both had girls first and we had very similar diets!

My mum had my brother followed by an ectopic and a tube removed. She had very very heavy periods and was begging the doctor for a hysterectomy (sp?) but they wouldn't do it cos she was so young and they thought she might regret it. Then she accidentally fell pg with me lol. She swears her diet was the same for me an my bro, but maybe her one tube and heavy periods made her more likely to have a girl with me?
My mom was adopted so dont know her parents history... But she had me then 2 boys. My husbands mom had 2 boys and his brother has 3 boys. My brother just had a girl...

Heavy periods can be really depleting in terms of nutrients over the course of time :agree:Quote:

I say we are pretty even, overall. Neither of my brothers or DHs brother have reproduced yet. So who knows what they will get.
Here's one for ya: my mom had 4 girls (her mom had a boy then...surprise twin girls fraternal!)......of my mom's 4 daughters: I have girl,boy,girl,girl and all three of my sisters each have one kid, all girls LOL my poor Dad!!!! You can see why my hubby is really paranoid to try boy sway (and he also has only sisters geez)

My mom had me and my brother. I have 4 boys and now having a little girl.
After seeing this thread, I asked my mum if she remembered her diet/weight when she conceived me & my brother....she didn't remember much difference in the type of food she ate at conception, but did say that she was quite skinny and had been poorly before conceiving me, and then when she conceived my brother was a lot heavier (had a lot of baby weight left from me.... only 14 months between us, so I must've only been 5 months old when bro conceived)
my mother had two Girls
My mum had 3 girls. Her mum (my gran) had 2 girls. DH mum had 2 girls, 2 boys, her mum had 3 girls. I have 2 boys :)
My Mom is the Youngest of 3 Girls (one sister has same father)

They had my Brother (Boy) and then like 5 yrs later me (Girl)
My Brother's wife had tubal preg (think it was boy) and I think a M/C (might have been Boy) not sure exactly but then 10 yrs ago Had a Girl (my neice)
DH Is the Oldest (Boy) and has two Twin Sisters (DH and twins are like 2 yrs appart)
One of the Twins had Twins (1 Boy and 1 Girl) a year before we conceived our Son.
We have 1 Boy.
We have what is called "the curse" in our family. My great-grandmother had all girls (11). My grandmother went on to have all boys (2). My dad and mom had 3 girls and so far I have had 2 boys...

My mum had me first at 22 (girl!) and then my brother 2 and a half years later (he has a daughter). She divorced my dad when we were small and when she was 33 she had another son with her second husband. I havent asked her about her weight/diet as I am not overly comfortable having that type of conversation with her although I was born in September and the boys were born in April and August so I guess from a seasonal perspective it fits. I am guessing that she would have been at her lowest conception weight when she had me and her highest when she had her second son. She has often been on diets such as slimming world etc.
I am ashamed to say that I am not sure about my dad's side, I know he had at least 2 brothers and 1 sister but I am not sure about any more, his family was bigger and we havent had the best relationship unfortunately. My mum had an older brother. He sadly died when he was 10 years old.
On my DH's side, he has one brother so he always goes on about having more boy sperm which really irritates me!!! His dad has one brother and 2 sisters which sounds 50/50 to me. But because DH has one brother he seems to think that in his line its only boys......and we do have one son but knowing what I know from here (thanks atomic) I am not surprised and thats down to my diet and lifestyle not the fact he has a brother. His dad's brother has 2 daughters.
We have one DS. Once I decide to TTC again I am hoping for a DD but wont be upset to have another DS.
