I'm 5'6, and at my last DR appointment a month ago I weighted 120lbs. My BMI is 19.4 (I think). I've been reading about the LE diet and losing a little weight when TTC a girl.
I thought about the last 4 people I know who had babies in the last year and here's my observation: This is not a judgement, just an observation:
1. My coworker who is really obese, at her baby shower, you couldn't even tell she was pregnant because she's that overweight-she gave birth to a beautiful little girl
2. My church friend -again she's really obese too, you couldn't tell she was pregnant until a week before she gave birth to her adorable little girl
3. My boss she's overweight, again if you knew her before and during the pregnancy, you couldn't tell the difference, she gave birth to a lovely baby boy.
4. A family friend. she's super thin, a vegetarian, eats healthy. she just had a handsome baby boy.
So, I'm thinking maybe losing weight or having an "average BMI" does not have an effect on the gender of the baby. I don't know....
