Be gentle but truthful, the doc gave her opinion of BOY so I'm trying to prepare for that. These are the only pics I got and I don't think its the full nub, but I don't know if you need more than that. In the scan I saw a long forked nub but didn't get a pic of it. I couldn't tell the angle though when I saw the complete nub!

i see a short straight nub... i would lean more girl cause its straight and parallel but i guess its hard to say cause the whole nub is not showing
I think the 'sticking straight up bit' is the cord, the small flat thing below is the nub but I do not think you can make a good guess because I do not think the whole nub is seen, sorry
I don't see a nub. Your doctor may not be guessing based on the nub, so I would be reluctant to just trust her guess. If you saw something long and flat, then it sounds like a girly nub. good luck!
Yes I keep coming back to look and I think you still have hope for pink, nothing shouts boy here.
i can't see anything that sounds or rather looks like a boy - bit sticking up is way too big for nub, small thing below maybe a partial nub but i would have said girl especially at that gestation.
Did the doc sound like they knew what they were doing - mine was adamant she was a girl at 12 week scan but i didn't believe her although watching dvd back nub was long and flat i just thought it was too good to true. At the time they told me the routinely sex at the 12 week scan now based on nubs but this was a private scan
maybe she saw something more convincing?

No the doc just said, that it is probably a boy, she looked between the legs and only saw cord, but for some reason thought boy. She had no real reason which I thought was weird. I didn't even ask her about the nub theory. Honestly when I saw the real full nub it was long and forked, but I couldn't really tell on the angle, when I saw the print outs I saw that what looked like could have been the nub, looked angled.
This is where I was thinking we were seeing possible nub......I dont have arrows so I just used the minus sign (-) at the beginning of the word nub to point to what I am looking at.

Well that is really nice to hear because honestly these shots have way more angle than the real thing did in the scan. I think I allowed myself to be deflated because of the docs guess! I'm not doing an elective scan so I wont see this little guy until the beginning of May!!!!

I've just woken up to go to the bathroom but didn't want to read and run... (Or read and sleep). If the doctor didn't look at nub angles then predictions are useless. The fetal medicine specialist didn't do a single potty shot when trying to guess with ours.
The whole nub isn't captured on the pics but what's there looks girly. I think you're back to 50/50.
I wouldn't lose hope!! Especially since the doctor didn't even seem to know about the nub theory. Sounds like it was just a total guess on their part.

So I have another pic and it is kinda blurry. The dr took it of baby's hand but the more I look at it the more I think it might have a nub shot, and if so, might be boy. the hand is where the head is, baby had hands up around head area, so if that is the case, is this, could this be a nub shot? it could be the nub but then it could be anything theres no context and you can't tell if the body is angled or in the right position even if it is a nub. i do understand you not wanting to get your hopes up or assuming blue to protect yourself but i really do think you just can't tell if anything i'd lean pink :bighug:

My next scan is in 5-6 weeks, unless we go for a private scan in that case it would be 3 weeks!

I'm gonna bump my nub (lol)! I don't think I'll get too many different answers as my nub wasn't completely captured but I would love to hear everyones thoughts or gut feelings on this little guy or girl! I HAVE A GENDER SCAN IN 48 HOURS!!!! I'm getting super nervous!!

Thanks, I agree, I wish I would have spoken up and asked my Dr to capture the nub. Oh well 48 more hours and hopefully all the obsessing will be over!
