Side You Most Rest On

If a pregnant woman prefers to lay on her left side, she’s having a boy. If she prefers resting on her right side, she’s having a girl.

With both I was big on sleeping on my left side... hmm!!!

I slept on my left when heavily pregnant, but that was to do with reflux and indigestion and it was advised. I tend to sleep on my left all the time, maybe this is why I have 3 boys!!!

That totally holds true for my last two pregnancies. WHat does wanting to lie on your back mean?

Weird!!! I love laying on my left side, through pregnancy and otherwise, and have done so for years- bad back. Hmmm....

You are advised to lay on your left side during pregnancy, it has something to do with not blocking a huge artery that runs down your body. I now favor my left because of the directions of pregnancy books.

I was told by my Dr to just lay on a side and not my back... I layed on my left a lot because it was the only way to get DS1 to stop kicking my liver while I slept.

Maybe all this has to do with the location of the placenta and how the baby fits... boys may favor one side over the other.

lay on my left side. i have since switched sides of the bed with DH:)

That does it I am going to change sides of the bed and sleep on my right :)

All my life I have slept mostly on my left side. I have 3 girls!!!!

Me too i have always slept on my left side & i have 2 girls

I heard this was the other way around....right side boys....left side girls! Oh well....I layed on the right...for all 4 pg....and only on my left when I napped on the bed without DH.

I sleep on my right and have done through both pregnancies and I have 2 boys!

Left side and have 2 girls! But I also shift to the right some also, my back always hurts around 5am from laying too long, pg or not.

Normally I turn around a lot and also sleep on my tummy. But I sleep most on my right side and have 4 girls.
So Im trying to sleep on the left now and in the 2ww for sure.

Does this count towards what you are TTC? Or just how you sleep when pg?

Sleeping on the left suppose to help conceive a boy. But It is just another OWT I guess.

Wow, this is strange, I love sleeping on my right, but since being pregnant Ive been sleeping on the left mmmm
Probably just a coincident, I dont take these things seriously, but they are fun to do.

I can only lay on my left side comfortably.

Ihave 4 boys and sleep on my left but recently i sleep flat on my tummy so what does that mean i've had major cramps my left side at one point this time but it has passed now hmmm we'll see

I prefer my left side with this pregnancy and it's a girl.

I always sleep on my right and had a girl, looks like ill have to swap over... weird.

I'm a tummy sleeper but when lying in bed it's mostly on my left side because I can see the tv better lol

I also have always been a side sleeper, and usually left side = 2 boys. weird.

i sleep mostly on my right....but partially on my stomach with my left leg bent to the right side....the most comfortable...but also right is the most i am feeling comofrtable in....but this time also on my back....i did find i lay on my right more with DD1. so it may hold true again???all i can do is hope....

This is funny because before I even saw this I realized the past year or so I've been sleeping on my right. Before that I preferred left. I had 2 boys and am now pg with a girl. Weird! Must be a coincidence but kind of freaky!
