My girls are here!

My girls arrived at (my midwife's) home Thursday, June 13th, at 3:04 am and 3:18 am after a 3 hour labor. Baby A weighed 6lbs and Baby B weighed 6lbs 13oz. Both beautifully healthy and professional breast feeders! ;) No names just yet because I'm still recovering from blood loss (common with twins) and we have been holed up at the midwife's house in bed until I can walk (hopefully tomorrow). Need to be able to sort through our names list at home.

Everything is great and they're such beauties!

The girls are named Scotland Kelia (Kuh-lee-uh) and Jubilee Maeve (like "cave").

Recovery is slow for me this time around, but I'm getting better every day. Taking my placenta pills to ward off PPD and get my hormones in check. I have help from my amazing husband and my mom too. Very grateful.

Congratulations!! Beautiful babies and you did so well making it to full term with them and giving them a great start. My doula is also going to encapsulate my placenta for me too. Hoping and planning for a hypnobirth, hopefully at home, if possible. Take care.
