From what I have learned from this wonderful site is that Diet is more important...I conceived my DS2 with a 3 day cut off, so timing doesn't sway. Also, it's recommended to start diet 12 weeks before. There's a link in the TTC index for gals with pcos/insulin resistance. Good luck!!!
Diet.
Here is the guide to swaying with PCOS

the scientific case against timing is here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...le-timing.html
Even though I have pcos I have regular periods and get pregnant easy. I have had 4 miscarriages and had to take baby aspirin, prednisone, heparin, folbic while pregnant with my son to get him here. I start taking a few of these before a pos pregnancy test, would the diet be ok to do while taking these. I figured it would be fine since the diet is stopped once pregnant. I would really love to have a daughter and this will be our last especially since I'am 35 and Dh is 41.
yes all those should be ok with the diet.
I would DEF recommend doing whatever you need to do for your health and to prevent losses before doing anything at all whatsoever to sway.
Is there any way for you to get Clomid?? It has helped some ladies with PCOS to get pregnant because it helps raise your progesterone after you ovulate (sometimes ladies with PCOS have lower than normal prog. after ovulation and this may contribute to losses.)
Yeah I have taken clomid and injections. I got pregnant several times natural also and had losses on the medicated rounds and finally was successful with my son on a natural cycle. I did have to take all the above meds to stay pregnant and I did take progesterone from after Ovulation until well into my period I think I forgot to mention that. I'am really interested with the diet so I'am thinking about buying the meal plan.
Do you think if you follow the diet and don't do timing at all that it can increase odds of a girl, or you need to do both?
I don't believe in timing at ALL and yes, I believe if you do diet without timing, you will have a great sway.
I got 3 of my 4 boys from BD before O (and the 4th one mayhave been, he was a sneak attack, then got my girl from one BD at positive OPK (shettles boy timing)
I always appreciate people buying the sway plans and diet plans because it allows me to do this as a job instead of having to go to work! thanks for considering it.
Are you on metformin? My endocrinologist says it helps prevent m/c. (I also have pcos).
metformin also a good pink sway tactic if you need it.
Sorry to hijack this thread, but I am really intrigued by your comment as I am taking metformin for pcos and was when I conceived my DS over 4 years ago.
Does your endo advise to keep taking the metformin throughout pregnancy to prevent loss?
When I found out I was pregnant with my DS my midwife and ob-gyn didn't really know whether I should continue taking the metformin throughout pregnancy and told me to stop it immediately.
Hi! From what I understand it helps prevent an early loss (first trimester). You absolutely can stay on met throughout the pregnancy. It can also help keep you from overeating and gaining too much weight. It was used in conjunction with insulin to treat my gestational diabetes.
There is mixed data on metformin and pregnancy and it is best to talk to your personal doctor about that. If you have severe insulin resistance it may be worth any risks, but for people who were just taking it for mild IR it is prob. best to stop it.
