Question about O pain.

Hi ladies, dh and I are going to ttc a girl in April. We've already kind of started the diet, supplements etc, but my question is about bd timing.

Someone said it's best to do one attempt when the opk is +. I haven't received my opks yet, but I'm having sharp o pain right now (has been sharp for 25 minutes now), so I guess I'm ovulating. So fir o+12 we would Dtd in the morning.

Which way is better? Bding right at + or 12 hours from now (in the future- I'm researching this month).

I've had ewcm 4 days in a row if that helps.

Atomic recommends BDing at +OPK with just 1 attempt, pretty sure...She says it has around 30% better results for a pink sway than other ways. O + 12 is tricky and I would never try it personally. I am sure Atomic or someone will correct me if I am wrong on any of this. :-) Good luck!

I don't think O pain is very reliable to pin point O, in my experience...

Wow that was a really awesome article. No o+12 for me! One thing I was confused about is the ph. On another site I read that a low ph is super important for a punk sway. Are you saying that's not true?

That is proving to be the case Abi. we are getting identical results with the low pH jellies as we are getting without them and it's hard to conclude anything other than that pH really isn't doing anything other than inhibit pregnancy.

I have an essay on the reasons why pH doesn't add up here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...ph-pickle.html (I actually had written this prior to our numbers seeming to indicate pH doesn't do anything based on common sense and biology, so both on paper and in practice the pH stuff just doesn't seem to be getting it done for us!)

If you think you are fertile and you wont get any OPKS until later, MAKE AN ATTEMPT. Then no more attempts for four days. Then once you get your opks, start using them just in case you didn't O. I thought I Oed on the 7th, bad O pains L&R, lower back pain, spotting, cramping... I even had a thermal shift the next day. But the next day I got a pos OPK and a peak on my fertility monitor. I then got a second thermal shift on the 11th suggesting I may have actually Ovulated the 10th. Not sure entirely when O happened, but from personal experience, cover your bases. But you can't get PG if you don't make any attempt in the fertile window! GL!

Another very interesting article! Thank you! Well if it's one less thing to stress about I'll leave it out of my sway. I did buy sylk lube since I read that sways pink. Do you have a link to your sway for your daughter somewhere that I could read?

At the time of my pain last night I had awesome ewcm so I'm sure it would've been a good time to try. I haven't checked it today. Unfortunately I have a very long cycle that makes waiting for these things tough!

Try Zyrtec for drying up cm. You can't get pg if you make no attempts though. And timing/attempts and Zyrtec should not be instead of diet. They should be in addition to it. I got both my DS at one attempt with a very boy friendly diet.

I am definitely doing the diet. I have a lot of cm so how often should I take Zyrtec? Did you get pg on your first attempt? Thanks for your reply!

I think Zyrtec is supposed to be 8 hours before attempt? You'd have to double check in the complete index. I did get PG on my first attempt. :)

I just read your post and I'm sorry for all the difficulties that we're going on! I don't think I can focus on 9 million other things, honestly. My boys are 3 and 1 and I never pay attention to what I'm eating so focusing on it will be a huge change!

My new sway plan is: LE diet, drinking crystal lite, diet cokes, and Metamucil. I'm taking folic acid. I will take antihistamines during my fertile week and dh and I will make 1 attempt at +opk after abstaining. I will jump and dump. Dh will take LR, eat less protein, and drink diet drinks also. How does that sound to you?

Oh thank you!! Honestly in retrospect I am thankful for them now because I really do think it brought my both my daughter and a deeper undertanding and ability to help you guys.
