I think it sounds fab! You lucky lady! If nothing else, it takes the Martha element out of your sway very nicely. Perhaps have atomic draw you up a plan and then he can be in charge of it for you. :wink:

Rosie is he involved at all in the swaying? I've seen lots of plans say their husbands weren't willing (or aware of plans) to sway, some are successful and others not so I dunno how helpful it'll be! Xx

I think it is awesome that your DH is so supportive and is going to help plan your sway! I would imagine that would make it much less stressful for you.
My DH is actually against swaying, he feels like he is messing with fate and is afraid it would increase the risk of birth defects. He says he just wants a healthy baby, which I agree with, but if I can tip the odds in my favor a little I would like to try. He has always said that his nerves can't handle a girl and he would be happy with all boys, but recently he did mention that a daughter would be nice.
At one point I thought he might be willing to take some supplements but now I know that he won't. He could benefit from some of them anyways but I would not feel right giving them to him and not giving him full disclosure on my intentions.
I am doing diet and exercise still so if we do end up with another boy, then at least I know that I tried and we will love him to pieces anyway :)

Lush to hear hubby is so supportive. DH is up for swaying though still thinks it's 50/50 but loathes vitamins or any tablet taking in that matter so is not looking forward to April when we start our HE diet and vitamin taking. Hope all our sways are successful. Please take my pink baby dust.

My husband was disappointed when I came back from my ultrasound that we weren't having a 5th boy! I love when that husbands are supportive of swaying.
I shall give you all my blue dust too!!! Good luck with ttc a boy :) when I made mine I was eating salty food and drinking diet coke by the bucket load. I was also quite stressy and throwing myself into projects (house and teaching). I also used preseed with my first and hubby and I were on antenatal vitamins.
I can't see myself with pink at all but I think in the future I would definitely like another child so might as well give swaying a go to see if we can too the balance in the pink direction. Although maybe I will just be a gender opposite statistic so others desperate for a girl can be in the positive stats lol. I can only see myself buying dinosaur sleep suits and cars for the next little one but hubby would desperately love a little girl and I want to be able to give him that so we shall see. My husband briefly went along with our swaying but then went off the idea because he didn't like what it was doing to my mental state. I definitely think it's good if hubby is on board. Also if you're TTC pink it helps balance out the power! They do say that dominant females produce more boys... I used to be incredibly dominant, passive aggressive rather than assertive. Over the last couple of years though I've become much more humble and self doubting. We weren't swaying for this baby, in fact we weren't even TTC.

Aw that's amazing you got your girl I am so pleased for you :) I am super passive aggressive I really need to stop that :/ and of the two of us I think my husband looks to me to make most of the important decisions so that fits as well. Definitely set up to be a boy mummy haha :) but my boys make me so happy so why wouldn't I want another?! Xx
Mulberry Smurf - thanks hun. I am starting to eat a saltier diet atm. Nothing too serious but my hormones are a bit skewed atm due to coil removal and I'm craving sweet stuff.
You say you only see yourself buying dinosaur sleepsuits and cars and I'm sitting amongst cars and dinosaurs and have 2 daughters! I don't know why I want a boy when I have a budding tomboy and her sister who looks like she's heading that way.
fiveboysandagirl - I'm very passive aggressive so I'm hoping with a change of diet and ahem *other* changes we'll get our boy ;)

Haha what are the 'other' changes?? They sound intriguing!! Haha that's brill that your daughters love dinosaurs and cars maybe your boy will love typically girly things to even the score!! I typically eat quite a lot of rubbish too! I am a veggy but don't eat enough vegetables although that's meant to sway pink! Think for us my hubby's meds, cm, hormones, salt and exercise swayed blue but who is to know. We got what we were meant to have and we love them to the moon and back! Xx

I've been trying not to talk too my toddler group as we discussed this and now if we do have a boy they're going to tease us lol. Cringe!
Oh and yes I was saying if we do get our boy, he'll probably be a bit more feminine. Poor Lamb, kinda hoping for b/b twins tbh so can have each other to support against 2 big sisters but I'll be happy with one single boy

My hubby is a pain in the butt!! He is more than happy to do anything I ask him to, but won't help with planning or anything at all. He is totally against swaying and thinks it's rubbish….so he just thinks all this stuff is to increase fertility to get pregnant. I prepare all his food, get his sups out in the morning, etc… So pretty much have full control to give him anything I want. He never asks questions about what he is eating or what pill he is swallowing.
DH actually insists he wants a 6th girl…he is very passionate about it too. He says it's too late for a boy now, he doesn't want the new baby to be favoured or treated any differently to our current children, so wants another girl. Deep down I think he would be thrilled if we actually got one though…he always wanted a little boy!
I have noticed a change in me since I had DD#5…I used to be very laid back….never really stressed about anything. Lately I have become obsessed and research every little thing I do in my life….I have started to micro manage my whole damn life lol. I have also noticed I am now rather passive aggressive which I wasn't when I had my girls. But to be honest…while I would LOVE a boy, I just want a baby now. The TTC unsuccessfully twice over the last 2.5 years, then DH changing his mind about another baby a few times….I will just be happy to have one last baby of any gender.
PoP, my hubby can be dismissive of all this and will be happy enough with another girl. He wanted 3 babies all along. He's happy to go along with the diet - more minced beef and beef burgers, he's happy lol. It's just the supplements he doesn't like and is putting off taking them till we start HE seriously in April.
He would like a son but I think he has resigned himself to being a girls Daddy. I hope we'll change this and get our boy. But I'm looking forward to being pregnant and meeting our next child the most. Our 2 girls are so different it will be interesting to see what another would be like if our sway doesn't work.

I think everyone except my GD friends had some vision of me favoring a daughter and never really could quite wrap their minds around how that really wasn't the deal. Me having a daughter doesn't take away from the boys.
That's lovely he's so involved. My husband just does what I ask in regards to supplements ect and I've seen him looking on here a few times too!

I think I need to read back through your diet for boys sway. I've convinced myself to add more salt where I wouldn't if you get me. If anything I'm trying to go more savoury and wholesome with my diet and adding more beef/red meat and cutting back on empty calories.Quote:

I have read information to say that sodium does away blue and know my diet was very salty so it seemed to ring true. There have been studies where timing and diet did have an impact on the percentage of girls born - I don't know why it would actually work tbh but it's just something I've read!

I avoid salt where I can so I'm only adding it as seasoning. It's to try combat the sweet? cravings. I know I don't have to avoid sweet foods but I don't want to eat empty calories, just fill up on nutritious food.

No it was very positive :) I missed my boys so much when I went away to see friends. I 'know' my boys, they're tangible and my yearning to see them was real and almost painful. I would like a girl but I don't miss her the same way I missed my boys. They complete me :) and they're the ones I should be putting all my thoughts and effort into right now. Swaying was starting to consume me and I think because of the type of personality I have I need to cut that piece of me out for now at least xx
I like the HE as tbh it's healthier than what I normally eat so I'm happy to change that aspect but I am concerned about how much a boy will change aspects of our lives. We've lived in a world dominated by pink and having 2 we have had everything to accommodate a baby girl so having a boy would be a big change. That and it seems more acceptable for girls to be tomboy but boys not to like girl stuff. My nephew is the fourth child after 3 girls and he loves dressing up in dresses and playing with dolls.

The world is changing and gender roles are not as black and white these days. Most boys at nursery play with prams and dolls. Maybe not the same way as girls but they still enjoy playing with them! And the shoppingn experience will be fun when you get your boy as it'll open up a whole new world of colours and items!!! Xx
Thanks Mulberry. I keep saying I want 4 but I don't think I do, well pregnancies that is. Selfishly I want to enjoy my mid-thirties with a career and enjoy seeing my kids grow rather than be getting up with a small baby my cut off is March 2015. I don't want to fall pregnant after that and tbh I'd be happy the 2 girls.
I hope they are as I think a boy in this household would have no choice but be a pawn in his sisters games. My nephew is lush but I know each child is different so we'll see. Plus there is going to be a bigger age gap between DD2 & LO.

They're going to be quite a bit older than him so will most likely mother him but hopefully engage in his games as opposed to the other way round! Who knows whatever happens your children will be so loved :) that's all any child can ask for! Xx
