I did bsf for the first time last cycle and have a feeling it may have dried me up, I don't think I had nowhere near as much ewcm as I usually would?
Who else finds this happens? I am not sure wether to try it again next attempt and use less or just give it a miss...
I don't know if it dried up my ewcm but the mix of baking soda and preseed made me really wet, i was constantly wiping it away.
I did bsf from the onset of ewcm & must say that as i got closer to O it made cm less

I only did 1 BSF 1 hour prior to DTD and experienced no issues ... other than it making me smell funky :suprise:
But it didn't dry me up or make a noticeable difference in my CM. I know the gals who have done it multiple times over many days more often complained of lots of watery CM, not so much getting dried up.
But TTC5, you had a great pH naturally last time! Honestly if yours is naturally in the 7s again (or even high 6s) I wouldn't worry about it. I never could get mine to test above a 5 but quit testing it a long time ago since all it did was bum me out.

No, but made me wet too.
I have found that any time (sorry TMI!!) I or DH reach inside my vajayjay before DTD, even at ovulation, it makes me very dry. Doing things like putting in my diaphragm or even some kinds of foreplay have this effect, so it doesn't surprise me really that BSF might do the same.
ETA - if htere is any way you can orgasm after the BSF but before DTD, this might really help remedy that.

same with me. i usually get good amounts of ewcm with the BSF it did make me watery (a step down from my natural ewcm). however it did raise my pH for a while and the ewcm did come back so i think an hr before dtd would be okay..i hope. i guess i should try it again to make sure its ok. my purpose for the bsf is the pH (even tho pH isnt a proven theory right?)
Nope, not proven at all. There could be something to the idea that BSF counteracts the harshness of the vajayjay and helps sperm to survive but even that is just speculation with nothing backing it up.
