The nub is as big as its hand if that's the nub.
I'm no nub expert, but I think that is the cord to big to be the nub...

the 2 lines are straight and they are parallel and could mean girl. Although the 2 lines are spread really far apart.
The question is...what is that blob ontop?? Is that blob attached to the top line?? If so, then boy. If its the umbilical cord or whatever floating on top then its clearly a girl.
The problem is no one knows the answer to those questions and if those are the only 2 pics you have then we are at a loss here for guesses.
We could decide better if there were more pics to go off of.
That blob does look pretty large. I just don't know.
the more i zoom in and look at it -- I don't think that blob is attached.
Thats just my thought though - I think its a girl and that's just part of the umbilical cord and unfortunately its positioning is REALLY bad for nub guessing and its gonna freak you out.
If I had to guess, its a girl and you got stuck with an unfortunate u/s pic.

i agree.. could be leg. it just seems too far back to be the nub. if it was the nub turning up, it seems (and from the 1000's of pics i've seen) that it would be more toward the end of the shaft part of the nub, and your blob is smack in the middle.
ya, you gotta go 50/50 -- there truly is know way of knowing anything for sure...even in the best u/s pics we still don't know anything for sure.
Thanks guys!!! so so much! From afar at a first glance, BOY! but it really doesn't seem connected where it should be to be a boy. The tech was talking the whole time about how it was not reliable and stuff like that. urg. At least there is some hope it could be a girl.

When we say boy bump, this is what we mean.
It's either a boy or there are no gender clues. The 2 lines are too far apart to be the nub and they don't start from the same place.

This is a picture of a straight up boy nub. See the ball with a gap under it? That's a boy bump. It's not leg or cord.

I personally don't think that's the nub, I saw your first post and that's a huge change in only a week. 1st scans were definitely girly. Looks to me like part of a leg going down and then the legs are crossed so nub wouldn't be seen. What did it look like during the actual scan?

Sorry if you are hoping to hear girl - if so, I hope I am wrong! but that looks like a perfect 13 week boy nub with the leg showing in behind. I don't think it looks unusually big, 13-14 weeks is when they big changes start becoming clear...

Here is ds2's nub at 12+3 (he was measuring 13w tho) and as you can see it is HUGE!! I was convinced it was something else....but it was definitely nub and he is allll boy!! I hope it is a different result for you tho!! A week can make a huge difference in terms of nubs...hence why they say it's really a 50/50 guess before the 12th week..... I have everything crossed for you that this is still your DD xx

Thank you everyone! during the scan I did see a straight white line flash for a few seconds down there but idk. The screen was really far away =/ The tech wouldn't say anything about gender........ 6 more weeks!

The first post was 11+3. 12-14 weeks is best for this sort of guessing and the closer to 13 weeks the better. This is why I do not guess on 11 week scans.Quote:

I go by actual gestation, not what baby was measuring but this is why 11 weeks isn't great for guessing. At the end of the day, that's all this is- a guess. You got to see a live scan and with that nub, I'd imagine it would have looked like a boy if it is with a potty shot. Going off one still shot leaves room for error always.
