No symptoms and digital test wrong?!

Yay! I can actually post in the pregnancy section!!! 😀😀

I am 4 weeks 2 days today and AF is now officially not here, so I thought I would use the Clear blue digital test I had just to confirm things and check that it was picking up how far along I am. But, it said "pregnant 1-2weeks" and it should have said at 2-3 according to the instructions and how far along I know I am. 😕 I've also had NO symptoms but a fair amount of "cramping". With all the other boys I was nauseous and had food aversions and sore boobs. Should I be worried that something's wrong??

Mumofsix 1-2 (up to 200) is fine for 4+2, you could just be at the higher end of the 1-2 limits. It should change to 2-3 (200-2000) in the next day or so. Good luck xx

Ps. I had a pg in January, every symptom going from the week my period was due, felt awful and it ended in blighted ovum. My rainbow pg the month after I had no initial symptoms for the first few weeks, now I feel awful! Don't worry, you'll feel rotten soon enough ;) xx

It happened to me as well, I was on the verge of being 2-3 and got a 1-2 instead. I freaked out a bit but here I am, 24 weeks along! I preferred FRER actually so I could see the line progression other than trusting the digital, even when you dissect them (who would do such an obsessive thing anyway?? :)) they don't give anything away! Don't worry too much and huge congrats on your BFP! x

I also had a shocking amount of symptoms with my chemical.

OMG!! I am now freaking out! Just had a drs app and told him I was pregnant and he did a test and it was practically negative! He was squinting at it and said maybe there was a faint line but defiantly not a true positive!! He didn't seem bothered and isn't checking my HCG levels or anything, he has referred me for a "dating scan" but I can't get in for 2 weeks!

I would check with FRER if you want to know for sure. FRER gives you the clearest darkest line. What are you currently testing with (other than CBE digi)? To get a 1-2 weeks at 4+2 is no big deal. I think CBE considers anything under 150 MIU 1-2 weeks. So you could be at 180 and if you drank a lot of water or ate a salty meal then you could easily dilute a 180 down below 150. I like to do progressions and try to stay with the same brand (something cheap). I think Walmart has FRER for a reasonable price but those are very pricey!! If you want check your CBE digi again in 3 or 4 days and make sure you don't dilute it.

Also what DPO did you get your first positive test?

I usually use FRER but had a digital at home so thought if use it to "check" and it was fmu so not diluted. I think I will try with the FRER again and see what it says. My DH is cross about how much money I'm spending on tests! Lol! And no Walmart in Aus unfortunately.

I was 11DPO when I got my first positive. And checked at 12DPO and 14DPO! 😉

I've spent close to £100 this year on pg tests for 2 pregnancies. Silly really but at the time I needed reassurance. I found 2nd pee of the morning was better, and i wouldn't have a big drink before then. Watching the same brand, even pound/dollar store ones , getting darker was reassuring, but be wary of a slightly lighter line one day sending you into a panic! Good luck xx

It is a bit crazy how much we spend on our POAS addictions isn't it?! 😉 I probably wouldn't have even done it again but after the drs test was practically negative I just had to check at home myself! Now I feel even worse. It's going to be a long 2 weeks before I can get the scan done.

My DH is making things worse too cause he is like "oh well" and not bothered at all. I'm also worried that if anything happens he won't even try again as I was twisting his arm as it was.

Guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that it's all ok and just wait (and also probably retest tomorrow 😉).

I used the regular first response, not the frer, just before af was due and it was really light, got a better line on the frer the following day. FX for you xx

Post some pictures of your line. I also use second morning urine as I find it is more consistent. I too have spent a small fortune on HPT. I never tell my DH about it though. I don't even tell him I am PG until I feel good about the baby not being a chemical.

My DH isn't very empathetic either. The other day I was worried about this PG being twins (I guess there is like a 12% chance) and he says to me "all your what ifs are exhausting". I just looked at him and he knew he had said the wrong thing. I said "Well then maybe you should carry this baby and give birth this time".

This is this mornings test with 2nd mu. AF was due days ago so it's not like it's too early??! There is a faint line, but very faint!! I've still got no symptoms at all and even the cramping I had is gone. I don't "feel" pregnant at all.

I am so worried and DH really doesn't seem to care at all. He even said last night that were never going to have money and it's all my fault because I bought a kitten and keep wanting children!! 😠

And it's the not knowing what's going on that really sux!

That FR needs much more HCG than the FRER one, it's not usually positive until the day after your missed period. I would definitely get a pack of 3 FRERs and do then every second day to see if the line is getting darker. But still, a line is a line and you've got one! x

Also, my 2MU was always darker than FMU! :)

Oh sticky dust being sent your way! I have to tell you, I never really had many symptoms with my pregnancies (successful or not). The only consistent "symptom" I had was fatigue and it didn't start until week 6 or 7.

I understand how hard it is to be in limbo....I'd be shopping around for someone who'd do the ultrasound earlier. But then again, in Canada, I have quite a few options. I'm not sure what it's like where you are. Once I figured out I didn't have to wait months to do it at the hospital, I could get in within a few days.

I'll be thinking of you! I hope all works out. And I hope you swatted DH for his no money comment! (not that I condone marital violence... but sometimes they really DO deserve it :P)

Hey, no haven't had a chance or the money to get a FRER... But I kept testing with the cheaper ones I had at home and got 3 positives (and 2 negatives??!) so that's hopefully a good sign. I just wish I'd get some sort of symptom so I "felt" pregnant!
I hate going to the toilet as I'm just waiting to see blood! 😕

Wish I had a crystal ball and could see that everything's going to be ok! 😉

After six kids you wouldn't think I'd be so concerned but this has never happened and I've always "felt" pregnant and just known and always had some type of symptom early on too! Maybe it's just a sign that it's my girl! 💜😉

Mumofsix, big hugs!! I haven't poas for a couple of days but the other day I poas on a FRER (for the 2nd time) and a dollar store one to compare, and the FRER was dark but the dollar store was barely there... I say hang in there, it could be a HPT thing for sure!!!
I also haven't been feeling very many symptoms at all, actually was about to write a thread about it... I mean I had stronger symptoms with PG's I m/ced. :/

Houseofblue ... I had every strong symptom going with my pg in jan/February before af was even due! It was a blighted ovum. This pg I was over 6 weeks before the yucky I feel pg symptoms started. Although I've had a bleed today so back to feeling nervous and worried. Xx

FXed for you Mrs. Incredible!! I wanted to let you know I had HUGE bleeds with DS1 and DS2!!! I mean GUSHING!

With DS1 all was fine until 9-10 weeks and I started gushing brown blood...so bad I had to wear a pad!!! This went on for days, I had an u/s and I could see his little arms and legs waving around. :) It stopped and we never found out why it happened.

With DS2 around weeks 6-7 I was out with DS1 and dh, having a great time on a beautiful summer day in Alexandria, VA when I felt liquid gushing out of me. I panicked a little but figured it was discharge or something....went to an outside bathroom and was devastated when I saw bright red blood in my underwear... and a LOT. It took a few days to taper off, but I had an u/s and all was fine. On the u/s they found a hematoma (sp?)- a pocket of old blood, had no idea why it was there but all was fine.

I had huge bleeds with DS5 & 6 too and they're now beautiful bouncy 3yr old and 22mth old.

I've still got NO symptoms and I'm still worried! 😞 I was even sitting down squeezing my deflated formerly known as breasts tonight and DH asked what I was doing! Lol! I was trying to feel some sort of tenderness but nope, nothing.

I also want this baby so bad, and I really want a Xmas baby that I'm so sure I'm going to lose it (as I never get "what I want"). It's driving me crazy! I need a crystal ball! 😉

Hi mumofsix, I've got a scan tomorrow afternoon. I had a mc in February and the baby would have been due around my birthday, my dh's 40th and dss's 18th. I really wanted the baby to share my birthday, I was really upset to lose that pg (obviously) and the hope of having a baby on my birthday. Dh wasn't so keen to share his tho. How are you doing? X

Mumofsix...do u still have no symptoms? I feel so good and energetic, not PG at all!!!! Only real symptom is my breasts are slightly bigger (they never get sore during PG, just bigger). I had a teeny tiny bit of crampiness last night which worried and relieved me at the same time, but it went away quickly. It's so weird!!!! Even with my losses I had much stronger symptoms...I'm thinking this is either a very good thing or a very bad thing!
Btw, you made me bust out laughing with the "deflated formerly known as breasts" because yeah, after BFing my boys my breasts are sad little creatures...sad to think how perky I used to be when I was young LOL!

Yep, still NOTHING??!? I don't know whether to be grateful or concerned?! 😕 What worries me the most is I just don't "feel" pregnant and I have always felt pregnant even before a BFP! It scares me.

I did want chocolate today, but I think that's more to do with the fact that I am so tired today cause I just couldn't sleep last night after an argument with DH, and not so much to do with pregnancy.
