So back when I swayed in 2009 and 2011 no one was really doing alcohol to sway, at least I hadn't heard of it, but it makes a lot of sense as far as lowering fertility. I'm wondering how much alcohol and what exactly--wine, beer spirits? I like to make mixed drinks but I think all the fruit juice and high calorie mixers wouldn't help sway too much, lol. So what are y'all drinking?
Im drinking coke zero and crown royal for the most part. Once in awhile (like one a month), I have a beer. And.... Sometimes, when I'm drinking more than usual.... Tequila shots! Yum.

Oooh, so the two IPAs I had tonight on my first official day on LE is going to mess me up? I like to drink, so I'm glad it's okay but I guess I'll have to change things up!

I have whatever I fancy because to me alcohol is alcohol. However if its something that you are interested in, vodka has the least nutrients of the spirits and white wine has less antioxidants than red.
I have been drinking cosomopolitan cocktails, gin&tonic, red, white and rose wine, champagne, cava, prosecco, starting to drink cider again as it gets warmer. The only difference between now and when I conceived DS is that when I conceived DS I was drinking more as we didnt have kids so were out to dinner a lot, also he was conceived at christmas so there was lots of eating and drinking going on!! Now I only drink at the weekend.
I plan on drinking beer. Just because I can't stomach hard liquor (mixed or not) nor wine with out juice.
Sorry to ask a dumb question but what is an IPA?
India Pale Ale...very light beer with lots of bitter hops.
I'm all about the vodka sodas when I drink, which is rarely due to my meds.

I think any drinks are fine. My concern with the dark beers, red wine, and spirits mixed with juices are that there may be more nutrients in them and so the same rule applies that I use with fruits and veg - if all things are equal and you're ok with a lower nutrient beverage then great. If you're dying for a Guiness, then go for it.
Light beer, lagers, white wine, spirits with soda are best, I think.
So I wasn't drinking with my DS but I did with both of my DD (is it safe to say my DS drive me to drink:)). Anyway with DD1 I was drinking 2-3 drinks a night about 4-5 days a week. I was drinking margaritas (with real lemon and lime) or red wine. With this PG I was drinking red wine but not as often. Only a 2-3 glasses a week since I was BF.

I've been drinking white wine or vodka with soda water and a splash of diet cranberry juice (only 5 calories per glass and lots of artificial sweeteners!). Occasionally I've gone with light beer.
Just polished off a bottle Pinot noir. Yes, it is the healthiest red wine with the most antioxidants. But it is SO delicious! And it's a cheat day I've had 130g fat....

Think I'll be having shots maybe. Beer bloats me up and we will hopefully be TTC end of winter so not exactly beer drinking season

hahaha Angie!!! It does sound ridiculous! Oh geez. I normally don't drink very often either. 1 drink a week was always my max.

Wow Rosie 1 drink a week!! I had more than that when PG (don't judge I only had 1-2 small glasses of wine a week which is allowed)
I've been having vodka Collins-- vodka with club soda (0 cals!) and a splash if sweet and sour or lemonade or even grenadine. It's quite refreshing.
Also loving caff free diet coke with Jack Daniels.
I also discovered martini and ross Asti at target for $10 a bottle and it's soooo good! I sound like an alcoholic but it's only one drink a day, promise! But it really helps me be less martha!
I didn't drink at a with either boy so this is a big change for me
I drank beer and red wine when I got pregnant with DS2 and DS3 but wasn't drinking a ton. This pregnancy I drank a lot of champagne before attempt and I'm pregnant with a girl!
I love an excuse to drink more champagne!!!
Lately I've been doing 2 shots of vodka in a diet Dr. Pepper right after my workout every night!
I love the idea of a drink post workout! I usually kingly drink after dinner or with dinner. Maybe I'll move my workout to evenings again ��
Should we just drink the month we are trying in or for a few months?
