Quick advice needed please!!

Hello, I just posted a question the other day about this but now I'm worried. 2 days ago I had an ultrasound that the doctor thought I would ovulate in 2 days. Well today are those 2 days and no indication of a positive on opk....not even a darkening line! I have some cm/ewcm and yesterday I had some cramps on my left side (its my left ovary with the follicle). Not sure if that meant anything. Tomorrow is day 18 and prior to clomid that is when I ovulated. I'm so afraid of missing ovulation. I know wait till positive opk but anyone think we should Dtd now? Sorry so long, just really want to give this the best shot this month!

Do you usually get positive opks? I'd DTD, but it keep monitoring. I guess it depends if you're comfortable breaking the once at pos opk sway tactic or not. I DTD before my positive this month (because DH wasn't going to be around). I don't know what the result of that decision is yet, but hopefully I'll find out soon. If OPKs stress you out, you could try the DTD every four day method.
I don't know much about Clomid (if it messes with LH surge or not), so I can't be of any help there.
I think it's better to be early than late.

Thanks for responding! It's getting late and not sure what to do. I have gotten positives before, usually day 18. The. Doctor is the one who suggested I use opks and to start Dtd. Bit obviously I wasn't telling her I was doing once at pos opk.

Have you been ovulating? Is that why you are on Clomid? Because you haven't been ovulating?

It can definitely delay ovulation and since you normally ovulate later than average, it's likely soon but not quite there yet. Do the OPKs every 8-12 hours or drop the timing part and just DTD to get pregnant.

Thanks...I used to ovulate about day 18 but once I started swaying/stressing. It all stopped so I was put on clomid. What makes me nervous is they saw the follicle getting bigger and soon ready to release but I've yet to get a positive.

No one can predict when exactly you will O based on a follicle so I think you should rely on OPKs. If you are testing with a brand that works for you in the afternoons, you shouldn't miss your surge. I would stick with the one attempt since this is your first month on clomid. If you normally O a bit late it is quite possible you will O late on clomid, too. I bet you will get a positive OPK very soon!

Thanks ladies for your input. As of now we have not Dtd. I'm waiting for that positive. They said the follicle was like a millimeter or 2 away from being ready to release. Maybe it's just taking longer to release. I'm just praying the clomid didn't all of sudden make opks not work for me. Something tells me I missed it. But really hoping that's not the case.

Thanks for asking atomic. I'm on day 19 and have yet to get a positive. I have not Dtd and not really sure what to do:(. Could I have missed it and just wasted my first clomid month..? If they saw the follicle 4 days ago, shouldn't have ovulated by now?

What is your CM like currently? What dose clomid did you take?

If you are on Clomid, you need to be in with an attempt no matter waht. I would start DTD every 4 days through when you're sure you Oed.

It can vary the amount of time it takes to ovulate after seeing the follicle.

Thanks for the advice/responses. I was having some cm/ewcm. But it kind of dried up a little. I was on 50mg days 3-7. Today is day 20 and follicle was observed day 15 to almost be ready. I think I will start Dtd tonight every 4 days. Praying I didn't miss it. I have been doing opks twice a day since day 10 so hoping that's not the case. Thanks! Yeah I would BD every 4 days at this point. On 50mg it is quite possible you will O late, so I feel less worried that you missed it.

It's day 25 and I think I just got my period! I usually have a 10/11 day lp which would mean I ovulated around day 14. Sono on day 15 showed a growing follicle. I'm so confused and frustrated. Any thoughts on what's wrong with me?

you had a short LP this month and ovualted later than normal.

Thanks for responding. I'm so mad at myself for waiting for the positive opk and therefore did not Dtd at the right time. I never got a positive reading on opk. And this really isn't full af, I am just spotting. So you think I ovulated after they saw the follicle and just it never registered on opk?

Yes, that's what I think. But if you're just spotting, then that ~may~ be something else going on.

When in doubt, attempt. Always be in with an attempt on Clomid no matter waht.

Thanks so much for responding. Today is the second day of "spotting". I guess it's a bit more than spotting but definitely not a full flow im used to. I'll see how long it lasts and then I am going to bd every 4 days. I hope that's I good plan and I won't miss it again!

it's not uncommon to have lighter than normal flow on Clomid, but if you don't have antying BUT spotting I would call on Mon. and discuss with doc to see if they want to do an ultrasound to see what is going on.

It's so light! I haven't even used a tampon. Sorry tmi. I spoke to the pharmacists since its a holiday weekend. They advised me to take clomid on what would be day3 and call doctor Tuesday. Im so nervous they will want me to take provera agin and drag out this process. I just want to bd! I keep beating myself up over the fact I did not Dtd when then follicle was observed :sigh:

I spoke with the doctor and based on progesterone levels, they don't think I ovulated. But since I had some form of bleeding, I am on round 2 of clomid. She thinks maybe my weight could be an issue. I've lost some weight and probably underweight. What can I do that doesn't sway boy to help my body release an egg? I realllllly want this to be the month.

1 serv. full fat dairy a day, 4 eggs a week, 1 serv. salmon a week.

Sounds like you had breakthrough bleeding, or possibly O bleeding. A higher dose of clomid should help, though it is possible you will still O, just very late. Have you been OPKing still?
