If DH does the LE with you, thats great. If not, that's okay too. What you do sways most.
As maiden said, what you do is 90%, however him eating LE foods with you can only help. That being said, I think if you had to pick one dietary change for DH to make it would be giving up meat (or at least red meat). I don't think it matters at all if DH skips breakfast/snacks.
Ok thank u! We r both already vegetarian but he does eat eggs which he is happy to reduce or stop as advised by atomic. It was just the breakfast and snacking really. He doesnt mind skipping both so I will let him decide if it isnt essential.
He is drinking soy milk which he rlly hates but
How about alcohol? He likes a few drinks on weekends.
Low nutrient alcohol (clear/light liquor, white wine, pale beer) seems to sway pink for both DH & DW.
Alcohol reduces fertility and is fine for you and DH.
Thank you both! xx
He doesn't need to do diet, but if he's willing to cut back on eggs, meat, and saturated fat, that's great. IF he went fully vegetarian, even better. But many of us (myself included) have gotten girls with DH doing nothing to help.
So alchohol sways pink?
Should I start with 1-2 glasses of white wine per week? I never every drink or drank. I personally like bacardi breezer 1/2 per year :)))
My hubby drinks 1-2-3 glasses of wine per week or beer.
Should we drink the day of attempt?
Drinking is by no means necessary for swaying pink, but it is showing good results in our stats. And if you got multiple boys drinking rarely, I think it's a good option to consider. I suspect alcohol sways both via its effects on the body and on the mind. Certainly many boy moms can benefit from some relaxation!
There's no one single way to sway and there are undoubtedly many factors we are unaware of that sway in addition to the few we know/suspect and try to control. Every child's gender is the unique result of myriad variables. That's why atomic is so big on driving home the fact that there is no single magic bullet that will gaurantee your DG.
We really don't have enough info to know specific amounts. My guess is that 1-2 drinks a day for you, 3-4 for DH is enough to sway.
It may be that drinking the day of attempt helps a bit, but we again don't have data to say for sure.
I did drink 1-2 light beers most days and a few times more like 3-4 and I think one of them was the day I conceived. :) Neither of us ever drank with our first 3 boys, and with our 4th boy my husband had a few beers here and there. He was drinking TOOO much when we got our DD (he was stressed with his dad dying. :()
Atomic, such sad stories...I am so sorry :(
I think when loosing someone dear from family...always another "dear" appears in our lives...
In February my grandma died and in March, my grandpa....in May I got pregnant..I always felt like this baby came because of this...I dont know why..strange but this is how I felt...cause our boy was not in our plans :)))
Atomic, you say 1-2 drinks per day every day?? This is not possible for sure for me :))) but maybe in the day of attempt I can try.
My DH was drinking every week those times we had our boy cause we were in the clubs every single day of weekends :))))...now not anymore....so maybe he should not drink :))))
I have 5 girls and neither DH or I ever drink alcohol.
Susannah was born in August before he passed away in December so I like to think that he played some part (he was sort of between worlds at the end). She has the girl form of his name as her middle name. :)
Yes, that's what most people are doing, a glass of wine or beer with dinner every day. If that's too much for you, that's fine - there are no magic bullets anyway!
I think you got a boy not because of your husband drinking a bit that week, but in spite of that. I think some of these things take time to work. I do think overall alcohol tends to sway pink but I would not want anyone drinking more than they ever felt comfortable with!!
