12 weeks 3 days. Tech told me girl and I'm over the moon but I think the potty shot looks like a boy... Opinions please!!!!

12 weeks is pretty aggressive to go for an elective u/s!
I know I couldn't go next week though. And didn't want to wait longer than that lol
I'd really, really, really take that with a grain of salt. 12+3 is really too early to guess on anything but a nub. And even nubs at that stage are not really as accurate as you are looking for. I'd try to keep in mind that it still might be a boy. Not because I think the tech is necessarily wrong, but I think it's a tad irresponsible of a tech (even a trained one) to guess so definitively that early.

i agree with Abi, i lean blue as well, but even with the best shot nothing is 100%. It was really irresponsible for anyone to tell you that it was a girl with anything more than a guess

I think the skull is boyish and to me the nub seems on the rise. Again, it's early.
Can you point out the nub to me? Please lol

This is what I see...based on the skull theory, it's a boy because the forehead is flat and the back of the head is very round (girls have round foreheads and flatter backs of skulls based on the theory). Also, the nub seems on the rise, as shown. Take this with a grain of salt as baby is not flat on his-her back and the full spine is not seen. Don't hold me to it or be sad...these pics are early and not the best for gender.

I think she was maybe referring to it being flat or something. I see how she thinks it could be kind of. She shouldn't have put that though because all babies still look pretty similar at this stage, especially from that angle.Quote:

I know how you feel! I didn't get scans though. Team green. Some days I truly believe this is my girl!
But then everyone around me seem to have girls and I think this must be a boy again then.
But as long as I'm not sure I'm alowed to have hope!

Awwww Hun I donno how u are doing it without scans!!! You're very brave lol. I'm going to another elective scan, 2d & 3d when I'm 16 weeks. I can't wait to know for sure!!
From the pictures the nub looks like it's on the rise to me too but I hope you hear girl at your 16 week scan!
