Hello atomic, I've just posted a quick quiz for fun on another site I use trying to guess on a few questions what people may have! Can you have a quick read through and see have I got my own questions right lol. Also what else would you add that would include a simple yes or no answer??


Did you take a pre-natal? Taking a prenatal increases the bodies nutients which according to a study by Trivars Willard increases male conceptions.
Do you smoke? Smoking damages female fertility which increases the rate of femaleconceptions
Does FOB smoke? Smoking damages male fertility lowering sperm count and mobility leading to more female conceptions
Is FOB or HIS father bald? Male pattern baldness often indicates high testosterone leading to more male conceptions
Do you salt your food? Diets high in sodium and potassium are associated with more male conceptions
Do you eat breakfast daily? Mothers who eat breakfast daily are more likely to conceive sons
Do you eat chocolate/sweets daily? Mothers whos diets include high amounts of sugar and refined foods are more often likely to conceive girls due to the unstable glucose levels
Do you eat white bread daily? Similar to above, empty carbohydrates cause unstable glucose levels favouring girl conceptions
Did you mc/chem the cycle previously? Bfp's following mc/chem are thought to show increased girl conceptions due to the higher levels of progesterone in the mothers system
Does FOB smoke 'special cigarrettes'? The THC in cannabis has be shown to impact on male fertility by lowerering sperm count and mobility leading to more female conceptions. THC is stored in fat cells for upto 3 months.
Did you experience weight loss before bfp, ie dieting/illness? Weight loss before conception is meant to lead to more female conceptions according again to the Trivars Willard theories of mothers in better nutritional and physical condition conceive more boys
Would you say you are strong? Mothers with more muscle mass are more likely to conceive boys due to the higher testosterone in their system

Oh fun!!

Trivers Willard isn't a study, it's a hypothesis - that's the only thing I see!

I would def add a question about being a vegetarian or not.

:agree: I'll adjust my quiz accordingly! Are you vegetarian, yes leans girl no leans boy?? Due to protein levels??

So far their all having boys, apart from one lady with 3 boys who is very girly:oops::rofl:

I don't know if I would get TOO specific on why, just that a vegetarian diet has been linked to more girl conceptions in a study.

Sometimes those boys just sneak in there!!! ;)

Well I'm having a little problem with it! I just popped back in and theres a few more people answered and I swear I'd guess boy for everyone of them! Its a little embarrassing! Have you followed the link ZB? What would you guess??

What other things would sway girl??

There is an interesting comment on there about the cannabis. A lady has mentioned that it gives off the same chemical as an egg so when the sperm go in they immediately do what they do, swim around madly?, so wear themselves out before conception. This would lower sperm count thus swaying pink, but I've asked her if she can point me in the direction of any info as its worth looking into further:agree:

OK, so maybe you would! With regards to the pre-natal supplement and weight loss 'opposite' answers. I lost weight before all my pregnancies but I lose it in an incredibly healthy way and got my nutrients that way and I also had probably thought 'sod the diet' in the weeks before actual conception because I knew we were trying to get pregnant - so even though I'd lost weight I was no longer losing it.

For me I think my high T levels are a big contributor, so perhaps some questions which indicate whether the woman has high testosterone - I think if you look at the complete index there's a thread which gives 'signs of high testosterone' or something.

With the quiz, I'm thinking of adding a points system, so answer yes add 1 point to blue answer no add 1 point to pink.
ie Did you lose weight before bfp?
Yes 1+ pink
No 0 points

Was it healthy weight loss with healthy diet and exercise?
Yes 2+ blue (this would cancel out the +1 pink)
No 1+ pink

Then at the end they can just add up their own points! I may need help with point allocation though??

If I change anything atm then it will be unbalanced with the boys being able to get more points, hmm:think:!! I'll let it ride for now and see what happens, so far its pretty balanced with guesses, phew!!
