liposuction with fat transfer to breasts?

I have wanted lipo since I was a preteen due to stubborn fat deposits on my belly (I have a pot belly and twigs for limbs); recently I've been reading about using the fat from lipo to enlarge breasts. My right breast is half a cup size smaller than my left breast and if possible, I'd like to just make it match my left breast which is a small B. I know many of the fat cells don't survive transer, but I'd be happy with any increase at all. However, I don't want lumpy breasts and would rather be asymmetric than have lumps.

Has anyone here had a fat transfer via lipo to breasts, or know someone personally who does?

Never heard of it but boy would I be interested! My left breast is a whole cup size larger and I like you have sticks for limbs and a pot belly. Ugh.

Wow, I'm sorry you ladies are similarly shaped but glad not be the only one! I know that some amount of asymmetry is normal, but not only is the difference between my breasts visibly obvious (I just don't wear bras bc one side gapes, the other overflows, it's hideous) - BUT I also have severe scoliosis and am missing my left index finger since age 2, so I ALREADY feel like an asymmetric freak. To be able to change these small flaws on my body which can actually BE changed would make me so happy!

Also, it would be so nice to have clothes fit better.

The procedure which I'm considering is called BEAULI and the dr who pioneered it is in Berlin. I've been reading reviews of his surgery but there aren't a huge amount and while most are very positive, a few were very negative (one lady had very lumpy lipo results, another has very lumpy breast results with own-fat transfer). I also don't get a great vibe from his photo, but maybe that's silly?

The ladies who had bad results were in the 40s, and the younger you are the better results you have as your skin is more elastic still. Berlin is a 6 hour drive from me which is far for a consult!

When I still lived in the US I was considering going to a dr my friend had used, and I'd seen her (excellent) lipo results. I'm scared to use a dr without knowing a successful outcome personally! Amd while I do speak German, it's far from perfect especially when it comes to technical lingo. Maybe I should try a dr in Paris instead, as that's 5 hours away and my spoken French is almost as good and I can read French much better than German. Hmmm. What would you do? I can't leave the EU but otherwise I could go anywhere, and money is no concern.

An update! I found a dr I really like in Frankfurt, which is only 1.5-2 hours away from me. I've had a consultation & follow-up and my surgery is booked for the 25th, in 11 days! I still need to get my pre-OP bloodwork done tomorrow, but my bloodwork has always been very good except for vit D deficiency in the past, but they won't check that. I had a mammogram, which was optional but the dr strongly suggested I get one, so we have a 'before' shot of my breasts. All was normal with the mammogram.

Next Thursday I have an appointment with a psychiatrist, who will write a medical attest that this surgery is psychologically necessary as it is treating a deformity which causes me great psychological distress. (And in fact, this is very much the truth, especially since my OCD and BDD magnify the distress, and I'm further deformed by my scoliosis.) If I wanted to, I could use this testimony to fight my insurance to try and get them to cover the cost of the surgery, but that's no sure thing and not worth the trouble IMO. But, provided I get the testimony, I won't have to pay sales tax (19%!!!) to the city of Frankfurt for 'purely cosmetic surgery'. That will save me 600 Euros!

In a case like mine where I only want one breast enlarged and my breasts are overall small enough that it's not a major undertaking, my surgeon will put me under general anesthesia and do everything altogether over the course of about 2 hours. First the lipo, water assisted to limit damage to the fat cells, then she will inject 2-3x the volume of desired fat into my smaller breast. I have enough fat to make my breasts equal if at least 50% of the cells survive, which is likely. Bc of the way my back curves & humps, it would be better to have my right, currently smaller breast be a bit bigger than the left, as it would balance my body best, especially clothed. So she will aim for that.

I'll take plenty of photos before and after at various times so you can see how it turns out. If I don't have to pay tax, the surgery will be €4000, including anesthesia, which is a great price. The dr thinks I am an ideal candidate and that one operation shall suffice. The timing is great, since I hope to start TTC around Dec 5-10th which is when I will next O. Since many of the fat cells will die and surgery is obviously stressful on the body, I'm hopeful it will sway pink. The dr recommended I try to gain weight before the surgery (something about growth factors and how weight gain improves fat cell survival after transfer?) so I compromised by not losing any weight.

So you are going to do this and then try to get pregnant? Is that wise? Your chest will certainly change with pregnancy! My boobs got huge! I would hold off on anything cosmetic until AFTER kids! They mess your body up quite a bit and may make this a waste of time and money.

I agree.. I wouldn't waste money getting surgery. I have friends who got implants & then were very sad with how pregnancy changed them.

I discussed that issues at length with my dr. The breast enlargement won't affect BFing , it's not at all like with implants bc it's my own fat being injected. Also, while I'm aware that pregnancy and BFing could permanently increase my breast size, I think it's very unlikely in my case (my body including breasts is very similar to my mom's and her breasts returned to their former size after BFing). Furthermore, a hormonal increase in breast size won't fix the asymmetry between my breasts which is what I care about, not my breast size.

As for the lipo, it's definitely best to have that before pregnancy bc my skin elasticity will only decline with time/age and the physical & hormonal effects of childbearing. Getting lipo now gives me the best possible outcome in terms of my skin shrinking properly, and the slow expansion of pregnancy may even aid the looose skin issue and prevent potential stretch marks. My dr says it's fine for me to start TTC right away and even recommends it.

Also, for psychological reasons I really want my belly fat gone before I'm pregnant so I can enjoy my bump instead of hating my body. My BDD is entirely focused on my stomach/love handles. It has been a major, constant source of misery since early puberty.

If I end up with loose skin or not enough fat is removed from my belly, then I will get a tummy tuck when I'm done having kids. But as that may not be for quite a while (I'd like 2-4 kids all at most 2 yrs apart and all BFed for as long as they want, provided my fertility returns while BFing) I really, really don't want to wait another 10 years, after living for over 20 years in such a flawed body, and the outcome is much better the younger you are.

If my belly is just 20% smaller and my right breast 10% bigger, I will consider the money well spent. I can afford repeat surgeries if necessary but I am hopeful 1-2 will suffice.

I know you have done the research but as a mom of 4, you cannot imagine what 4 kids can do to your body- even if you are fit, healthy, etc. I just think you are wasting your money now but it's your money so if it makes you feel better, go for it if you have the money to do it. You can never know how much weight you will put on btw. I put on 30, 30-something, 25 and then a whopping 60 pounds with my final child! I am a size 2 now but I have issues hidden by my clothes. My abs split with along the way so now I am facing a surgical repair to put humpty dumpty back together.

My boobs are bigger than they were when I started all this too. Not that big but bigger. When you BF, you are 2 different sizes a lot of the time with your chest btw!

Just trying to share the reality of child bearing! Your body will change. You can certainly work out and go back to "normal" but it will be a NEW "normal". It's never the same!

Agree with Nuthinbutpink. Before pregnancy i was 95 lbs, A cups. I have 2 daughters 2 yrs apart. I BF my eldest until she was 4 yrs old & my youngest (almost 3) still nurses.

My breasts are C's. I gained 60 lbs with both girls but I am now finally down to 110 lbs & even though i wear a sz 2 pants, my body is very much morphed. I have stretchmarks & loose droopy skin.

Please don't base it on your mother either. My mother had 5 kids & doesn't have one single stretchmark. I thought I would be just like her, but my 2 kids left their marks from my boobs to my thighs covered in stretchies.

I just want to say I totally agree with nuthinbutpink and Midwest. While I totally understand your desire to get it done, the benefits will be so much stronger if you wait until having babies. Also a friend of mine had exactly the procedure done which you are thinking about and her recovery time was much longer than planned AND she had to have a 2nd surgery a few months later because there were some issues with one breast. Do you want to push back TTC to do the operation?

I know my boobs will sag, even if they don't get permanently enlarged by BFing. My body is almost a clone of my mom's other than the scoliosis/asymmetry, and her boobs are very sagging from 6 years of BFing. I don't relish the idea of sagging boobs but my current asymmetry bothers me so much more.

My mom also has a pot belly, partly genetics as the women in my family store fat there, partly from having kids since I've seen naked pics of her pre-kids. And since she only gained 15-20lbs with each pregnancy, I know it can be a lot worse. But my mother's body is still symmetric, and I don't find it ugly. I don't consider round bellies ugly, it's how my compressed torso gives me perma-rolls that upsets me. If my spine were straight, I know it would look much better and bother me less.

I know childbearing will further change my body, possibly dramatically. If that happens, I'll consider further surgery - though I don't fear those changes. But I am absolutely not willing to wait. If there are complications, I am okay with putting off TTC, though that is unlikely. Still, anything I can do now to restore symmetry...it's something I've wanted for so long. This is really a psychological issue, and not one that i can explain well if you haven't lived in my body. And it IS best done before childbearing, that's a fact.

All I have to say at this point is OUCH. 1 day post OP and I can barely move. Staying in a hotel here in Frankfurt or 2 more nights. Thank god for room service.

My right breast still looks smaller than the left but I do see an improvement., plus my scoliosis throws everything off. I am so anxious to see my fat belly and love handles gone but still in the girdle. I hope they got all the fat!

Surgeon said everything went beautifully (her words). Nurses were soooo nice and comforting. I WAS scared right before.

I hope you have a speedy recovery and that all you went through is well worth once you look in the mirror!!!

Hope your recovery I quick and not too painful! Can I ask why haven't you had your scoliosis fixed? Or have you at some point? Seems to be more of the issue.

TRL, there is no way to fix my scoliosis. :( I have special braces to wear and I started seeing a Rolfer, and it's possible pregnancy will help. But any improvements will likely be minor.

I really appreciate the well wishes ladies! They help more than you know, especially as I'm currently alone and in pain! My dr gave me codeine for the pain (LOL), fortunately I have much stronger painkillers for my back. But I don't even notice my back pain at the moment, the post OP soreness is so much worse. Getting in & out of bed is the worst as it requires my abs and those areas are the most affected. Also my right pec/shoulder hurts so I can't do anything requiring strength with my right arm.

My right breast is bigger now I swear, I really see the difference now! I don't know if it's just swelling or what, but my breasts do match now for the first time ever. And while I'm a bit swollen, I have very little bruising. I was expecting much worse based on pics I've seen but I don't look that bad at all. No matter what I will enjoy my time having matched boobs even if it's temporary!

Maiden my DH is a spine surgeon and I am a surgical nurse. I have seen some crazy scoliosis cases and at the end are night and day. Obviously its a painful surgery, but at some point it's better in the long run. If you were told there is nothing to do I would definitely look else where. You can't live in pain the rest of your life. Then when you have kids you are going to want to keep up with them. Just my 2 cents!

My particular case is extremely unlikely to benefit from surgery and I would lose my excellent flexibility. Also, surgery will not necessarily help my pain and obviously spinal surgery is quite dangerous. You'll understand when you see my pics. I have 3 curves amd my biggest onè is 105 degrees upper right thoracic. I also have major rotation; the vertebra at the apex of my big curve is rotated a full 180 degrees.

The pain issue is complicated by the fact that I have 3x more nerves than normal. My back pain is mostly muscular, due to constant muscle tension and frequent spasms. The only thing that really helps the source of pain is valium, but it's just not enough.

Oh maiden I think you are such a strong person to go through all these alone and still be positive and plan your family, regardless of obsticles!!!!
I really wish the best for you in general and I think if you have a DD, you will be such a good example for her!!!

Mamato3?, thank you for your lovely words. It is indeed my dream to have a strong, determined daughter - and hopefully one who values happiness and positive thinking despite how harsh reality can be.

Some more good news - the surgeon's after care assistant came to see me and tighten my girdle. So I got to see my body for the first time since the OP. It already looks so good! I'm still swollen, but half the swelling is gone already so I can see my new shape and even swollen, I look so much better! My breasts look great, very even and overall, my body is MUCH more symmetric and my scoliosis less obvious as a result. I have only slight yellowish bruising on my right breast and none on my belly/sides at all! The assistant said I'm healing perfectly and while I'm still very sore, the incisions have already closed and look like they won't scar much if at all. The surgeon did such a good job, and so did the anesthesiologist - my IV spot is completely healed with no bruising or pain, and the insertion was very painful so I'm amazed.

If the afternoon-night after the OP was a 7-8/10 in terms of pain, yesterday was a 9-10/10, at least whenever I had to get in or out of bed. Today I'm feeling much better, a 6-7/10. I'm hopeful I'll be even better tomorrow and able to go home.

Wishing you a speedy recovery! Just as a side note, I had a breast reduction in my mid twenties and although doctors and family were keen to put me off until at least I'd been done with having babies, I was determined and went ahead with it anyway fully aware that I wouldn't Be able to breast feed. I'm 100% glad I did it though and my breasts haven t really changed at all despite getting bigger during each pregnancy. I hope you feel a sense of weight lifting off your shoulders having had your surgery and that you too find having babies won't change all your hard work. X

Deaks, that was very brave of you to have a breast reduction knowing it would prevent BFing. I didn't know that but my cousin had a breast reduction before kids and didn't BF as I recall. I thought only implants affected BFing! Luckily my surgery won't affect BFing, or so it seems. It is a pretty new procedure but there have been no reports of problems BFing after and my dr was very insistent. I would not have done the fat transfer otherwise, but just the lipo in that case. I do have 2 very good friends who had implants in their early 20s and are very glad they did. And I have 2 other friends, one very close, who had lipo, both thrilled with the results. And part of their results being so good was getting the surgery young. Do you ever consider another reduction after you have your daughter? Or are your breasts still a manageable size?

I have been home now 24 hours! Friday was my best day so far, I felt even better and walked around and shopped quite a bit. Saturday was rough bc car rides are hard on my back but it wasn't as bad as I feared. Today sucked, but I think it's bc I forgot to take my antibiotic & painkiller last night. My skin is starting to react to my girdle. I'm pretty sensitive to polyester and similar synthetics which no doubt my girdle contains, also my skin can't breathe. I think I'm itching due to healing, too. I will shower lightly and try wearing my steel boned cotton corset loosely over a silk tank, hopefully that will help with my poor irritated skin. If the boning doesn't hurt, it should provide better support and help my back, too.

Funnily, the most difficult thing about being home has been dealing with my cat! She is definitely angry with me for being away, but still wants to snuggle with me. Usually she lies on my chest/stomach which are exactly the places she can't lie. I keep having to ward her off until she settles on my legs. It's just sad bc I know she feels rejected! And I don't think I'll be able to bear her weight for a couple more weeks.

After each pregnancy they returned to the size post surgery thankfully! Had I not had it done I would never have breast fed anyway.
