Did you purchase and follow a GD Personalized Plan? No
DIET
Did you follow a diet plan? Yes
If yes to diet, which one did you most follow?
Comments regarding DW's diet changes- LE diet is the complete opposite of how I was eating before! I had never counted calories or eaten lowfat anything. Before LE I was pretty much eating low carb and/or paleo for the past 3 years. I did continue to eat meat on LE, but stuck to small amounts (about 4oz) of chicken, pork, or white fish at dinner only. No breakfast at all and ate the same low calorie vegetarian lunch every day for months. When I conceived my boys I was eating full fat dairy, taking a ton of supplements a day (fish oil, probiotics, multi, b-complex, vitamin D), eating high protein cereal (Kashi), and only drinking water and green/white tea.
If diet was used, length of time before attempt? I switched to LE diet in February, so 7 months before my BFP. Out of those 7 months we only TTC for 5 cycles so on my off cycles I didn't follow a super strict LE diet and ate a little more fat (full fat dairy), but still skipped breakfast, avoided red meat, and didn't snack.
Did you skip breakfast regularly? Yes
Did DH change his diet with you? No
Comments regarding DH's diet- DH didn't change anything, but definitely ate less red meat since I wasn't cooking it. Oh and DH gave up alcohol this month for 30 days and I think it may have helped his sperm health. He didn't do it for sway purposes, but to see if it would lesson his daily headaches.
DId you consume alcohol?
DId you try to limit caffeine? No, I drink caffeine regularly
Any Diet Details? Every day for lunch I had: 1 cup of Easy Mac & Cheese, frozen berries with 2 packs of Equal, cappuccino made with a double shot of espresso, 1/4c lowfat milk and 1/4c almond milk, applesauce with 1/4-1/2 tsp cinnamon, and a small bag of Popcorners chips! I ate very little red meat-- probably 1 serving a month. Dinner was usually a small 4oz serving of chicken, pork, or white fish and veggies. I don't like eggs so didn't eat those at all. I've never drank alcohol in my life, but did so daily for my sway-- 1-2 shots of vodka and a diet Dr. Pepper! I've never used artificial sweeteners in my life, but used Equal and drank diet soda daily for my sway. I also only bought non-organic fruits and veggies for my sway, where in the past everything was organic. I did stick with organic lowfat milk though (1% since I can't stand skim). I switched from tap water to Aquafina bottled water as well. I also made sure to take my fiber before every meal (sugar-free Metamucil). Oh, and I switched to using canola oil instead of my normal olive oil, butter, and coconut oil. I also avoided nuts and avocado. I tracked my diet on MyFitnessPal for a few cycles, but stopped using it a few cycles ago as I knew how much to eat to stay within the LE limits. Since I ate the same thing for lunch every day, which was around 600 calories, it gave me a little more wiggle room to eat a more regular dinner with the family.
Any Diet Comments/Additional Info? I drank a strong infusion of peppermint tea daily during AF (CD1-CD6). I stopped drinking it a week before O this cycle because I was afraid it was preventing my BFP, but I didn't want to drop it completely as I really felt it made my periods shorter and lighter. For the previous 6 months I drank it from AF-O. I love tea and this is the only tea I let myself drink during my sway. Oh, and the time from my last meal to my first meal every day was usually 15-18 hours. During the 2WW this cycle I ate a cup of pineapple a day and avoided caffeine and alcohol in hopes that it would help implantation and help me get a BFP this month. Instead of my daily double shot of espresso during the 2WW I had a cup of warm milk with cinnamon, honey, and vanilla extract. I only used xylitol to sweeten my daily cappuccino and peppermint tea instead of sugar. I also chewed cinnamon sugar-free gum daily between meals.
WEIGHT AND EXERCISE
What did you weigh/BMI do leading up to O? I'm pretty slim normally-- 5'7 and 128lbs which is a BMI of 20.0 but I dropped down to 124lbs when I conceived which is a BMI of 19.4. I was 120lbs when I conceived both of my boys.
Any Weight/Exercise related additional info/comments? I had added cardio to some of the other months I was TTC, but I HATE exercising and went the couch potato route this time! In fact, I spent at least 2 hours a day napping instead! This kept me from eating and kept me off the internet (Martha research addict)!

SUPPLEMENTS USED
DW Supplements
DH Supplements
Any additional supplement info? I had an ear infection and my doctor had me take Sudafed and Flonase nasal spray to dry things out the week before my attempt. I was only on both for 5 days though and stopped on CD10, which was 5 days before O, as I didn't want them to keep me from getting pregnant.
I was taking 1/4-1/2tsp of cinnamon daily mixed into my applesauce.
I was taking 15mg of zinc and 65mg of iron (recommended by Atomic) for the past 2 cycles after starting to experience pica (cravings to eat crayons!!!) which is a sign of iron deficiency for me. Oh, and I got back on the mini-pill (progesterone only) during our 3 week Europe trip in July as I didn't want an oops without a strict sway, so this was my second cycle after coming off the pill.
DH takes Claritin-D daily for allergies.
He was also taking two 450mg capsules of olive leaf extract a day.
He took two 450mg capsules of licorice root from CD1-CD14.
He was also taking calcium and magnesium (for non swaying purposes).
Did you do anything with Ions? Ceiling fans on 24/7 and a huge fan next to me while I slept. Used Dr. Bronner's lavender castile soap daily as a body wash. Rubbed full strength lavender extract on abdomen and lower belly (ovaries) daily and under my nose multiple times a day as well. Slept with a lavender diffuser on in our bedroom every night and during naps. Had rock salt lamps in bedroom and living room and kept them on 24/7. Tried to lesson my time on the computer.
Moon Phase during conception? Waxing Gibbous
Did you use any Old Wives Tales? Wooden spoon and infant girl outfit under mattress. Slept on left side.
Things that make me feel great about my sway: Everything!!!! LE diet for so long. Stopping all vitamins and supplements 10 months before my BFP. DH on OLE for so long (7 months) AND licorice root! The cinnamon, alcohol, and caffeine for me. That it took 5 whole cycles for a BFP when both my boys were oopsies without even trying! That my blood sugar was probably nice and low from the long fasting and cinnamon. The lavender that I read lowers testosterone.
Things that make me nervous about my sway: That I didn't exercise at all! The Flonase that I took the week before O since I did a search and Atomic said it could possibly raise testosterone!!!
Things worth mentioning: I really feel like this is the best possible sway that I could have done. If it's a boy, then wow was he meant to be! But this is for sure my last baby so I'm really really hoping this is my girl. I was an only child growing up and all I ever wanted was a sister. When I didn't get that then all I ever wanted was a daughter. So I gave it my all. Thanks to everyone on here for their support over these past 7 months and most of all Atomic as I think my chance of having a girl would have been zero if I had never stumbled upon Gender Dreaming! Now I think I have a somewhat decent chance!
