When to BD? OPK or peak ewcm

Hi,

My O is delayed a few days this month. I had a negative opk (digi) today and yesterday. Yesterday I had copious amounts of ewcm- 4 inches long, clear and strong so we dtd. Today I have a little ewcm- clear and long, but only found at the cervix. I am afraid that my O is going to come faster and tomorrow. Should we bd tonight or wait until the morning until I get a positive opk? I usually O at cd13, but today is cd14 and temps are still low. I want to get in 3x but of course my body doesn't cooperate. :)

Ok! We dtd last night, digi smiley this morning, of course. So, I'll try to fit in a bd tonight. I thought it was 3x within the +opk, but honestly, I don't think my DH could pull that off with his back issues (which are mostly resolved, but we don't want to re-injure!)

Thanks Jana! This is my third time to sway- first an opposite for a ingender sway, and then a miscarriage after a GD HE sway. I get a bit more relaxed after every sway- mostly because I just love the kids that I got in the process. :)

Thanks! I think if I had only one gender, girl does work for me. But, a boy to balance things out would be great. For my first daughter, I had no ewcm after coming off of bcp and thought dairy and fat and meat was bad for hormones. So there goes the perfect girl sway.

Second daughter, even eating all of that crap- potato chips and juice, I still managed to lose weight on the IG diet and conceived dd2. Timing and ewcm were good though.

For the m/c sway cycle I gained 8 pounds and tried to keep up with higher protein and calories so I didn't lose weight drastically. I don't know if I have gained much swaying this time or not- maybe a few pounds on top of the weight I gained from the other sway. (which I might have lost 2 or so pounds in between the mc and now).

I am just so thankful for my beautiful happy girls.

I feel the same way. I wanted DD1 to be a girl so bad! I got my desired gender! I didn't have a gender preference with my other 2 girls. I had strong feelings that they were girls though. This will be the only child where I would slightly prefer a boy but if it doesn't happen, I'm fine with that too. I just want the experience of raising a son. Another daughter wouldn't ever feel unlucky to me. I'd just know that that's what I was meant to have.
There's been so many successful boy sways lately that I think your chances are pretty good! Keep me posted!

Very true! Is your DH on board with swaying?

Totally on board! He did the IG style diet for DD2, very strictly. He has had some bad back issues which explains the gap between our mc and now, but I realized that eventually, we just had to try (and he really had improved). I am not sure if his sperm count is what it was when I conceived in 2013, but I am sure it is good enough. We conceive pretty easily on the cycles I have lots of ewcm.

Thanks for asking, wow! nothing, to be honest, i am really diappointed as today I had a routine scan at the local hospital, and the sonographer didnt even bother giving me a pic of the baby. I had been so looking forward to today's scan, hoping to see a nub, but I saw nothing , she only went dont to the genital area once for a few seconds, and I saw no nub :( my husband is a trained nub expert LOL (no not really just watches me being here a lot, and he saw nothing either. ) I hope it doesnt mean anything related to gender :( On thursday I'll have my NT scan I am 13w that day. FX for a good pic!

That's only because so many people have Shettles paranoia. I think 3-5 attempts in fertile window (before, during, and after OPK) is great for blue.

I've noticed that us blue swayers have are very concerned with timing. It took me months to accept that timing doesn't sway. I'm finally at peace with it! LOL!!!!

BFP at 10 DPO! First month! Thanks for all your help! the HD diet is definitely fertility friendly, if anything, I had amazing EWCM and conceived quickly both sways (first one ended in MC).
