A couple of moon q's

Hi ladies,

I know this has been asked or mentioned before somewhere but I cannot find the specific info I'm looking for, so I hope you can help!

Firstly, as far as zodiac moon signs are concerned, is it timing of BD or actual ovulation which matters? eg. I BD at the beginning of a definite girl sign phase, but ovulated 2 days later on a day that changed to boy about 1pm.

Secondly, is first quarter moon still considered new moon phase?

Thanks so much in advance! Just trying to figure out all the science to see where I stand! :D

Yes, first quarter moon is still new moon phase. Anywhere from the time new moon starts to the start of the next full moon sways girl, the legend goes.

So for ttc blue from the day of full moon to 1 day before new moon? I thought it's only on THE day of full moon! Wow then this is great because I ttc in Sept. and full moon is on the 12 new moon is on 27th and I O between this.
Is this right?

It's the conception date that matters. If you Oed in boy sign that's it because that's when the conception occurred .
Anyway, Imho it's more OWT and just for fun :) There was a thread about this on IG, lots of boys under girl signs and vice versa. I'd say it's 50/50. But if you have right Moon phase + right Moon sign + diet ( which is THE MOST IMPORTANT) then I'd say chances for DG are higher :wink:

conception can actually occur up to 48hrs after OV, although usually within 24hrs

You are supposed to conceive in the moon sign that you want. If you BD a few days before ovulation, all that matters is the sign that the moon is in when the egg is actually fertilized. So you could BD in a male sign, but not conceive until it has changed to a female sign--just depends on when the egg is released.

So possibly the actual conception could have happened in a boy sign, but I have the new moon phase in my favour (probably more of a factor) and I do know both mine and hubby's biorhythms were great at that time too, so that's positive :D

Well, after a bit of research..turns out my boy was conceived in a full moon phase, with good boy biorhythms for hubby and I (me lean, him full) but moon was in Taurus (girl sign). So looks like moon phase has more influence than moon sign for us. Excellent! :D

Ok I think I have this all figured out:superhero::agree:lol
For me in Sept. moon is in last quarter (sways boy yeyyy)
And IF I O on the 22nd then conception will be on the next day or max day after 23-24 it's in Leo on this lunar calendar. Good, good...and bio chart is also boy only blue is up for me here.
BUT on the bio chart it's says Im in Virgil till the 23 and then is in Libra.? :think:(still boy sign so good for me but why the 2 calendar has different signs?
Can some1 take a look for em plz???

Oh and this would be the first time things are going for me ! Im so happy for it even if it's nothing but ukwim...

Bio chart is showing zodiac signs 22 Aug-23 Sept is Virgo, after that is Libra, so no worries! We are only interested in Moon signs for swaying :agree:

Well ok then let's hope we will try lol and I get a bfp (even more lol here) and it's gonna be a boy. yeah..lol

just to clarify, that is only because some people can release two eggs up to 24 hours apart. NO egg lives longer than 24 hours, the only way this can work is if you release one egg and it lives for the full 24 hours and then a second egg is released just as the first egg is passing and then IT lives for the full 24 hours. Most of the time, your egg lives less than 24 hours and the second egg - if there is one - is released a lot sooner after the first one.

Ok now I have bad news:sad: Looks like Im having O earlier now so it will be around the 14th or 15th in Sept. it's 2-3 days after full moon (that's then only good thing) but in girl sign and biorhythm is in girl too. The blue line only comes up at the 17th. Ehhh why would this go good for me, right?

It is still close enough to the full moon.... DS1 was conceived before the full moon, under a 50/50 bio chart, girl month, the only real thing I had going for a boy was the diet.

Flava don't fret over all of that! When it comes down to it there is only so much you can control with swaying, KWIM? Loads and loads and loads of women have boys regardless of signs ... because they are so boy-friendly it overcomes the possible impact from the biorhythm, etc. Were all of your girls conceived during ONLY girl signs and biorhythms? If so then maybe it does impact you. I know one of mine was definitely in boy zone. Everything about hers was boy zone, LOL, and it cracks me up b/c she's a girl, but she is 100% tomboy!

The full moon is a great thing to have in your corner! So are you thinking maybe September now? I thought it was Oct?

I totall think the best thing to sway with is diet diet diet! I really think this overcomes soooooo much else.

I have no idea about my other girls. Never checked this things . Only moon for DD4 but can't remember now...it was before new moon i think. I know others have boys in all kind of signs but I only have girls...
Yeah DH said let's try in Sept. because 1 we are so tired of diet, sups all this ttc and 2 who said we get a bfp first try? So we may have to go on who knows how long? (well only till Jan. because I will stop if no bfp in Jan.)

I'm sorry Flava! :hug2: FWIW I think the full moon actually has more scientific basis than the signs (three of my boys were in girl signs!!) or the biorhythms. Plus not even the moon can counteract the power of all those nuts you've been eating!:rofl:

Sorry to bump this really old post BUT I was really curious about this and started to get worried because my next boy sway will be on the first day of the new moon (oh no ! ) But I looked back on previous years moon calendars online and learned that dd2 was indeed conceived in a girl moon phase but dd1 was boy moon phase . Like 80% full moon visibility. So I am happy about that! I think its still pretty 50/50 on this.. I think diet is the biggest factor.
