Comments regarding DW's diet changes- I followed the modified LE diet to include some PCOS tendencies. I don't have PCOS but I did have cystic acne and other things that might have improved with PCOS diet, so atomic had me try this diet. I used to eat a TON of sweets and lots of sugar also. Regular coke and cookies, candy etc. I also snacked mostly all day and didnt' have big meals. With the diet I didn't have breakfast, drank only peppermint tea 1x in the morning (black with 2 splenda) and ate 2 meals in the afternoon/evening. No snacking! No red meat. My only protein source really was whole milk and chicken - I stayed well under 60g a day. It was REALLY HARD. I also tried the last month of my diet to have a glass of white wine (moscato) 3x a week. I had hard cider the night we attempted, before swaying I never drank ever. I think my last drink was a year before our sway, so the alcohol was definitely new.
If diet was used, length of time before attempt? I was on the diet starting August 2nd and attempted Oct 18th so 11 weeks on the diet.

Comments regarding DH's diet- DH eats everything and anything and did not change his diet. He consumes beer weekly.
DId you consume alcohol?- A couple of drinks per week
DId you try to limit caffeine? No, I drink caffeine regularly
Any Diet Details? I switched from regular coke to coke zero - and also drank crystal lite raspberry ice. I hadn't had aspertame drinks almost ever in my life so that was definitely a change. I also had at least 1-2 cups of peppermint tea a day AF-O.
Any Diet Comments/Additional Info? I noticed that I ovulated late the first month and then got my period 5 days early... I definitely think the diet was changing my cycles...
WEIGHT AND EXERCISE
What did you weigh/BMI do leading up to O? I weighed 120lbs (sometimes 119lbs) leading up to O BMI 21.3 - right before starting my sway I was 127lbs BMI 22.5. This was probably close to my lowest adult weight - I was 122 when DS was conceived.
Any Weight/Exercise related additional info/comments? DH maintained his weight - I lose 7lbs. I haven't lost weight in years I've pretty much been around 125lbs - I definitely think I had a more than indulging summer because I knew I was going to start the diet in August. Oops.

Any additional comments? I got a pos OPK on Sat Oct 18 and we had our only attempt. I didn't get a negative until Monday evening so I assume I ovulated sometime Monday. DH had a 7 day abstain (As far as I know, unless he released when I wasn't home which is a possibility).

Any relevant attempt details? No orgasm for me. I didn't jump and dump right away but I did use the bathroom about 10 minutes after.

Any additional supplement info? I used peppermint tea AF-O every month of my sway. DH used Olive Leaf Extract since August (I think he took 500mg a day)
Did you do anything with Ions? Yes we had a negative ion plugin in our bedroom and I used lavender febreeze spray as an air freshener. I used a negative ion plugin in my laptop, wore a rose quartz bracelet all the time and also used lavender body wash and lotion. I also frequently painted my nails with OPI's "It's a girl" nailpolish.
Moon Phase during conception? Waning Crescent
Did you use any Old Wives Tales? Yes! Pink dress and wooden spoon under the bed and I also had my one attempt during the supposed girl phase. The chinese gender charts say girl as does the Mayan chart.
Things that make me feel great about my sway: I know the diet did SOMETHING because my cycles were very regular before going on it and they have been definitely unpredictible since being on it. I feel good about the fact that DH was on OLE daily and I think the fact that I added alcohol to my diet when I never had it could help. All of these were different from when we had DS. I also really feel good about getting pregnant at 1 attempt at pos OPK especially because my pos OPK came probably about 48hours before ovulation which gives me somewhat of a cutoff. I tried to be really calm and less "boy mom" while swaying. I'm feeling good about the moon phase and gender charts all saying girl even though I know they probably don't even mean anything. I also didn't have as much CM around attempt this month as I normally do.
Things that make me nervous about my sway: I allowed cheats - especially in the 2ww and I didn't have more than 1 cup of peppermint tea a day the second month TTC. I don't think I was as strict on the diet as I was in the beginning. I think I stayed ok in my levels and didn't snack, but I just wasn't as regimented on the specific foods. I had a hard time not eating sweets and snacking all the time so I did add in some sweets to meals here and there (at least 1-2x a week). I am just nervous that I wasn't disciplined enough but the diet was making me stressed a little so I tried to relax.
Things worth mentioning: My dad predicted a boy when pregnant with DS and he has already said he thinks i'm having a girl this time around. I don't know if that means anything! I had a dream last night that I was having TWIN (yikes!) girls so hopefully the gender is the only part true about that dream. So far i've had ZERO symptoms really of being pregnant. With DS I had super sore boobs and bloating. I got sick with bad morning sickness with him at 5w6d and so far at 4w4d I dont feel anything yet except a tiny bit bloated and tired. It's still early. I really hope this is our girl - I will love a boy obviously but this is my only shot at a girl since we don't want any more children!
