Did any of you have completely different pregnancies but same gender? Many of my friends have all the same gender and same pregnancies, or different genders but still same pregnancies. I'm just curious (for fun, of course), if anyone had same genders, but very different pregnancies. Anyone???.
I had completely different pregnancies with my boys! I will not be relying on symptoms when I get pregnant again. The only thing that was the same with both boys was I carried low with them, and you couldn't tell I was pregnant from behind. Everyone said I was having another boy based on those two things. Who knows though with a third pregnancy! I am in the best shape of my life now, so maybe that will effect how I carry another baby!

Yes. My two most similar were my DS 2 and my DD. My other three pregnancies with my DS 1,3,4 were all quite different and VERY different than the ones with DS 2 and DD
Body shape doesn't work either. I was super high with my first boy and my the time DD rolled around, she was low but it was because I"d had 5 kids and nothing to do with gender. And "low" for me was still high because I'm shortwaisted. IT's your body type and where the baby is that change the way you carry.
I agree I'm having a boy and someone said to me, ohh your carrying too high for a boy. I put nothing into it as we did HT and had 2 u/s confirm boy
No one can even tell at 27 weeks that I am even pregnant. Same thing happened my first pregnancy. "symptoms" all depend on where your body is during pregnancy. Your hormones could be higher or lower than the first time around, gained or lost weight, and a million other physical things. The reason I don't show is I have a slight curvature of my lower spine. Baby has more room to hide in the back and not stick out so much in the front.

I had 20 weeks of Hyperemesis Gravidarum on both my boys, definitely knew I was having a second boy when it kicked in at 6 weeks. My friends mother had HG on her two boys then she had her girl and she didn't know she was pregnant until she was 10 weeks gone. She said she breezed through the entire pregnancy - would love if we had a successful sway that I could have an enjoyable pregnancy!
When people say they felt great with their boys and sick with their girls, I think "Really? OR is that in your head because of the OWT?" Is there any truth to that specific OWT? Where did it come from, and why?

I can tell you that this time I fit the OWT of girl problem skin and hair when I didnt have those issues with my DS. But I am a different weight, more health problems, and of course jacked up hormones from already one pregnancy plus being older. So many factors too hard to prove! Granted a few old wives tales have been researched into a semi-theory like heartburn and hair. The tale goes if you have massive HB your baby will be born with a full head of hair I think the stats on it are 80% when a study was actually done. It held true for me the first time but it hasnt been bad this time around.
Oh I know you can have it on both and after having it both my first and second pregnancy I've been told it's practically a given I will have it on subsequent children. I'd just love if I had a sickness free pregnancy like my friends mother had on her only girl lol, dreaming out loud!Quote:

I joined an online support group during my first bout of HG, it got me through the darker days and we all had great fun speculating what genders we would have. Of the 13 women due within 3 months either side of my delivery there were 7 girls, 6 boys including my little man and one delivery of B/G twins so just slightly more girls than boys.Quote:

I keep meaning to look into that as I've had wicked heartburn and bald babies, but I did hear there had been a study done. :) I suspect it's probably hormones = hair growth and also = heartburn and not hairgrowth = heartburn. :)Quote:

I am pregnant with my 3rd son & all 3 of my pregnancies have been totally different. I swelled all over & had to have my wedding rings cut off with my first pregnancy. Didn't happen with either of my other 2, in fact at 33 weeks I am still wearing my wedding rings & they are loose. I had terrible acne with my first 2 pregnancies, didn't happen with my 3rd. I had middle back pain with my first 2 pregnancies, my 3rd I have sciatica. I had horrific all-day sickness in he 1st trimester with DS3 & only mild sickness with the first two. Loads of other differences. Symptoms mean nothing.
:bowdown: I think I may have said this in this thread already but my two pg that were the most similar were two different genders. o.O My others were all quite different from each other.
I also had horrid finger swelling with my first and not the rest. :think:
