Now don't shoot me - I know a lot of you NEED clomid to conceive and that taking it shouldn't be take lightly - that there are rules to follow and research to be done so im not looking to be shot down for asking about it but where do those of you that are using it without it being prescribed getting it from ?
I have 1 daughter after 3 sons and am considering trying again but would like to use clomid but cant seem to source it ( uk )

Hey you asked the question I've been dying to know for awhile now. No judging here! I'm from Canada and it's quite hard to find even online...
I will be asking my doc for it, and basically lying trough my teeth to get it, but that being said I don't think he'll give it to me.

PLEASE ladies, DO NOT go and tell your doctor that this is for gender swaying. They will a) not believe you anyway as this is not common knowledge and b) immediately decide they will not give it to you because that seems to be the way that most doctors roll. They either hand it out indiscriminately or refuse it even when medically indicated just from sheer cussedness :/
Go in, tell them you have been TTC for a year unsuccessfully and/or that your cycles are really long and irregular and/or that your LP is short but don't act like you're reading it off a list, either. Don't mention the C word, don't mention that you want a girl, you just want a baby and you need their help to get it. They will USUALLY prescribe Clomid (not always, but usually). If they don't, say thank you and leave the office. If they want to do bloodwork first, that's ok, if they want to do it that day, you have a pressing engagement that you cannot miss, if they want to schedule you a different day you can tell them that something came up and you changed your mind about TTC. If you end up having to go through with it, just be like "oh gosh how wonderful I had a nice normal cycle, that hasn't happened in forever."
DO NOT go in asking for Clomid and/or freaking out if they don't give it to you. You'll never get it that way.
That sounds like a good idea. And roughly the truth too which is always good ;) I think I will just let it play out and see what happens when I bring it up. We are a long way off ttc just yet, well around 6 months so I'm going to try and make a decent attempt at our sway. Working up my exercise time (45 mins walking again tonight, that's the third this week) and cut red meat, drinking slightly more caffeine than usual, being as laidback as my personality will allow lol. That's a hard one!! If closer to our attempt I feel I could say it to my doc and have a reasonable shot of getting it then I will ask. Though that being said DH isn't overly keen on the possibility of multiples so we will just have to see. A friend of mine was ttc for 6 months and cried in her doctors office, she came out with a script for Clomid. You never can tell!!Quote:

No, it isn't easily available in the US but perhaps slightly more so than in Britain where I am often shocked that people with legitimate medical need for Clomid are denied because the doctor decides that they have enough children. :( Not coolQuote:

My friend said she got it online from a website. I know it sounds shady, she said she had no problem getting it.
I found a website last night that sells it - not sure if it is the legit stuff or not - I think it was $40 for 30pills (50mg - Generic brand) and then postage..... The more you bought the cheaper the price per unit becomes. Would you think it is dodgy? This is the pic of if? Attachment 24691

I'm in Oz. I ordered Cyvita off a lady on ebay (from the US) and they made it here fine (Hubby is not on Cyvita anymore... that was when we were doing HT).
She said an online pharmacy and they sell all kinds of medications, she just googled clomid
Straight truth, most of the time it's perfectly fine BUT the one time it isn't, you know???

Again, is it worth the risk (even if small)? Probably not because we get similar results wtih 12+ weeks on diet, exercise, and one attempt.
You guys have me between a rock and a hard place here because if you DO get it the "wrong" way, I want to help everyone take it safely (because too many people take it wrongly or dangerously) , but just so you guys know I do not endorse this in any way shape or form and really really prefer you get from your doctor legitimately or do without.
