I am TTC a girl i have been on the diet again for 8 weeks..... My cycle is so messed up I have not been getting my period??? This is very rare for me has only ever happend once before and that was due to stress... what am i going to do as if i am not getting af i cant fall preg so does that mean i cant ttc a girl with diet? I am a bit concerned about this
if AF is absent it means either you haven't OVed (or OVing late), or you're pregnant...
it could be the stress of the diet delaying ovulation
are you doing anything to test for OV? monitoring CM, OPKs, temping? If not, I'd strongly consider starting that
are you underweight? being underweight can affect fertility in that way too
I agree with rainbow totally, the reason you didn't get AF is because you didn't O yet (or you're preggo.) Testing for ovulation will reassure you when it is coming.
Diet can mess with your cycle but this is a temporary situation. If you've lost some weight, that def. can make your ovulation delayed. You can either wait it out and do nothing - you WILL ovulate eventually - or increase your caloric intake just a bit.
Beleive it or not, that is actually GOOD for TTC pink. The reason why we diet is to suppress fertility and yours is def. suppressed. Don't worry, it will come back.
Well funny thing is i thought i ovulated on the 22nd of july i had all the symptoms and a tiny bit of blood lots of cm and a near close positive opk...... THEN on the 2nd of aug i had HEAPS of cm again and o cramps and only a near positive opk again never got a actual real positive it was close to tho with both times so i am not sure whats going on. I have lost 5kgs in 3 weeks which is a fair effort I was about 10kgs over weight. I took a preg test yesterday which was neg. We were going to ttc this month but i cant now. I have never had much trouble with my cycle could be out 2 or 3 days sometimes but never like this...
I'd say you failed to ovulate on the 22nd July then - if you had ovulated your body wouldn't have been trying to OV again later on... so seems like you might be mid-2ww now

I agree with everything the girls have said and I would reinforce the idea of temping to get a better idea of O date. Last cycle my CM had virtually dried up and I had none of my usual pains associated with O. I thought my cycle was messed up but luckily I was temping and realised that I had indeed O'd albeit a day later than normal. So get your BBT thermomtre out!
If you didn't get AF, then you didn't actually O. Those were fake Os unfortumately (stating the obvious, I'm sure!!) your body was going to O but it didn't have quite enough estrogen to trigger the surge (which may be GOOD for TTC pink.)Quote:

Well i was wanting to do a cut off so that cant be done when i dont know i am going to o. I usually o day 16 or 17.... only other thing is if i stop on first positive opk but i am not confident.
that's what I'll be doing for my sway - stopping at first positive OPK. If I wasn't using RepHresh I'd just BD right through O
I will be using rephresh too. I keep changing my mind on my attempt... If i could just stick to something would be way easier!!! I think going until i get my first positive is the best option as dh is really really wanting another child and our ds is 3 so i dont want a huge gap between them. We have tried a couple of times with a cut off but nothing came of it.
We will DTD when I get my +OPK too, which works out as a 1 day cut off for me. GL x
What I would do is just keep watching for ANY sign of ovulation, DTD as soon as you see signs, and then wait to see what happens. So if you get some CM or your cervix gets soft, then DTD then and wait to see if you actually O.Quote:

Thanks everyone for your comments! Af is now here!!!! never thought i would be so happy to see that! Anyway will try and keep track of o again , I do think it is my diet doing this so as you said atomic while my body is like this I am best to try !!
