I know one attempt when you have OPK+ sways girl.
I'm on CD15 and I've had a very strong positive OPK today. The thing is we ended up DTD on Monday CD13. Probably shouldn't have done that, but my husband had made the effort of having a hot bath and releasing. Could I still get pregnant from doing it Monday, or shall we have another attempt tonight, doing hot bath, release and I'll jump and dump straightaway. I know one attempt sways girl though and we've probably screwed it up.

I would DTD again tomorrow instead. That gives you a better shot at pink.

Do you think the egg will still be around tomorrow to DTD?! worried it'll miss ovulation. I'm pretty clueless so open to suggestions.
Can you do tomorrow morning and split the difference?

You can def. get pg from attempt on Monday and if it was ~me~ I'd hold off for this month. But it's a toss up because you'll still be quite far out from O. I think no matter what you do, it was the right thing on this because we really couldn't know for sure.

YOu can't tell anything by how long it takes your OPK to go negative. It is meaningless.
Oh damn I really am clueless. I've been having EWCM for the last two days (inc today) so I have no idea when/if I've ovulated.
Just out of interest, which OPK do you use? Sometimes the internet cheapie frers are better than the more expensive ones.

I'm using internet cheapies. We ended up having 3 attempts so I've proper stuffed up a girl sway. I doubt I will conceive first month anyway, but I'm just trying to think of all the couples who have girls and some of them must have had multiple attempts. Whatever happens, happens!

I wanted to leave it until doing it CD16 like the other ladies suggested, but my husband said he was working late that night. I messed up OPK as on Wednesday I got an OPK+ darker than the control & then on Thursday it was EVEN darker. It had faded yesterday. My OPK's don't usually stay positive this long, I have a cold so don't know if my body is ovulating later (or it's even ovulated yet) 12 days due until AF. Don't think I can do this one attempt, I find it too stressful and it's only our first month TTC. Think I'll do every four days next month or everyday (if these still sway)
Think I might be ovulating today as I've got cramps. I don't want to become obsessive over TTC. I really need to just chill out and stop worrying about when/if I'm ovulating. It's just so hard to pin-point it & get "roughly" the correct time to try, without over analysing.
The timing is hard, every 4 days might be easier if this cycle doesn't work out. I find it to be less stressful. You can always add one attempt at + OPK if the timing is poor and you are OK with decreasing your chances for a girl by a bit.
Thank you Junie, I think we will do this pattern for next month. Trying to keep busy, and not think about it too much now - I hate the 2WW! If I'm meant to have another boy, I'm meant to have one. Just have to wait and see now........

What day did you end up ovulating (CD wise?) It is hard for me to go off days of the week since we are in different time zones and even on diff. days sometimes.
You can't tell when you ovulated on the basis of cramps. You can get them before, during, and after ovulation.
I think sticking to DTD every 4 days is the easiest, most stress free way for pink swayers with a guaranteed 1 attempt in fertile window. The OPKs can be so confusing and cause lots of panic.

Yes as soon as AF leaves town start DTD every four days. Try not to worry about missing O, if you DTD every four days you won't miss it, you will have a definite 1 attempt in there :)
I was told to only go by the first pos. (hard to not test again I know) but I'm pretty sure there are oodles of people that got pg with girls with more than 1attempt. If you move on to next cycle the every 4 days thing seems to be the least stressful option. It's probably what I'll be doing to. I'm likely dropping vitex so I don't have to even think of when O is at all.... Just roll with it...

As an example if you DTD on CD's 6, 10, 14, 18, 22, 26.
You O on CD 13 your attempt on CD 10 will be waiting.
Or you O on day 15 your attempt on CD 14 will be waiting.
If you O on CD 18 even though it's an attempt day it will likely be the swimmers from CD 14 to catch the egg.
You will always have some swimmers there waiting with this BD pattern :)
