Do I have too many sway factors?

I'm planning on ttc next month. I'm 30 and DH is 32. We have three boys and would love a girl. I'm doing the LE diet and drinking lots of crystal light. Trying really hard to be a couch potato since I can't commit to an hour of cardio every day. I take 200mg of trazodone every night as a sleep aid. I have DH taking licorice root, cranberry, vitamin c, and calcium citrate. I'll have him take a hot shower before and shallow release. I'll use rephresh 12 hours before and after I jump and dump. We'll do a 3-4 day cut off and we were going to abstain for 7+. It looks like every 4 days is getting good results, but it may just be because of the smaller sample size. Which would you recommend? I was thinking about adding benadryl to my sway for DH and myself; would this be too many sway factors?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Personally I would not do the rephresh, cut off, or abstain.

If you've read some posts from girl swayers you'll see that a lot of us have trouble pinpointing O. Even with regular cycles. BDing every 4 days just really helps make sure you get 1 attempt in the fertile window which is what sways girl when it comes to timing/attempts.

To me your sway seems a bit kitchen sink, BUT it is your first cycle so you can always drop things next cycle if it doesn't work out right away :)

Some of us have been doing the diet and swaying for months and months and then it just makes sense to ******line and only do what really seems to be working.

We do seem to be incredibly fertile; I look at a baby and get pregnant! With all our boys it only took one try. With our third DS we were trying to get a girl with the Shettles method and did one attempt 4 days before O. This will likely be our last child, I doubt I'll be able to convince DH to have another, so I want to try everything!

If you're in no rush to get pregnant then there's nothing wrong with a kitchen sink sway for your first cycle or two and then dropping things later. That's what I did. Both my boys were oopsies so I started with a kitchen sink sway and then ended up dropping vitex, Zyrtec, Rephresh, and jump and dump. It ended up taking 5 cycles (over 7 months time) to get a BFP and then that ended in a miscarriage.

12 weeks on the LE, one attempt at OPK or DTD every 4 days would be my recommendation :)
Abstain is not advised.

Because it hasn't been shown to make a difference when it comes to swaying and only seems to decrease the chance of getting pregnant. One attempt in the fertile window is the most important factor when it comes to BD and most people get that by BD every 4 days OR once at +opk.

This exactly, abstain has shown no benefit to swaying pink, it's bad for sperm health so doesn't help conception.

I also meant to say one attempt at OPK *or* DTD every 4 days. Have corrected above.

I think you should lose the idea of 4 day cutoff. If you must do a cutoff, 3 days at the very longest and 2 days is better.

THe problem with doing tons of strict stuff is that most people don't get pregnant (and we have reason to believe that at least some of the people who claim they do all this stuff are fibbing) and then you end up wasting what could have been a good month when you may as well take a birth control pill. It is better to aim for a half-strict sway that you could actually get pregant with, than the worlds strictest sway with zero odds of conception.

I would not do a shallow release. that has not seemed to gain us anything and REALLY cuts odds of conception, esp. with a J and D. Honestly, with that long of a cutoff I'd prob. skip the j and D too. you will need to start off with enough troops so you can afford to lose most of them but still have enough swimmers on hand to fertilize the egg when it shows up.

With cutoffs, I do not think it's smart to use the Benadryl with a cutoff. YOu'll need to have some fluids in your repro tract to keep enough sperm alive to fertilize the egg.

It is fine to start off with it if you want to give it a try, but it should be among the first things dropped.

It has not been effective for us and does seem to really cut odds of conception, plus, real-world issues - husbands HATE it and get really recalcitrant. It is best to ask hubby to do only the most effective, least obnoxious things to ensure their cooperation.

I read over the sway again - atomic what's your feel on hot showers? Do you have enough on that to know? Wondering for my Dh - keeping in mind he's the big four-oh. [emoji51]

Showers probably dont' do a whole lot, baths may lower sperm count but the risk is that you "cook" the troops and then have ZERO chance of conceiving. For something that we don't even know how it sways anyway. Remember, we were operating under the assumption that lower sperm count swayed pink, but some things are casting doubt on that assumption. So I think it is best AND THIS IS STANDING ADVICE FOR EVERYTHING to please focus on the things that are really seeming to sway, diet longer than 12 weeks, one attempt/every 4 day, exercise, Clomid/Femara if you can get it.
