Q for Atomic

I just read your last sway and have some questions! You were taking a multi vitamin (which you say was as good as a prenatal and had a lot more nutrients that prenatals dont have) and calcium & mag pills on top of that. Wouldn't this be against the trivers willard hypothesis that says less nutrients = girl? I'm confused by why you would take all these supplements when you were trying to test tw? Is it different maybe taking pill form vs from foods? Ahhh now I'm confused I thought the only supplement we were supposed to take was folic acid??

I'm obviously not Atomic but I know she's said in the past that she wanted to not take calcium/magnesium/Vitamin D but she paniced because that's what everybody else was doing!

zanacal are you taking any supps? I've seen studies for it (cal&mag) and against it. :S

I am not doing the cal/mag either, I did studies on it and opt out, my prenatal has mag and cal, and then my folic acid has more cal in them, and I believe my cranberry does too so I think thats enough extra cal/mag IMO :)

I'm only taking folic acid on its own - I stopped taking my prenatal a couple of months ago when I realised it was adding in all the nutrients I've been trying so hard to eliminate with diet. I'm also taking Saw Palmetto and Vitex, but no Cal/Mag - I dropped it about a month ago after reading atomic's calcium theory.

thanks girls I was planning on only doing folic acid and then I see sways from super researchers like atomic and it makes me think twice you know?

Honestly, I got scared. It's hard when you're the only one saying something and everyone else is saying the opposite. It was against TW and I knew it at the time, but I just wanted to hedge my bets. Plus, I was 38/39 years old then and so I felt like I needed the nutrients in the vitamins. If I had been younger I would have skipped them.

Most of the theories I believe now were only at their very infancy in my brain at the time I swayed....that was three years ago.

PS - plus remember in that time I have also seen a thousand sways come and go, so I feel like I have more evidence than ever to go off of.

Thanks for your reply, I understand your thinking, I didn't realize its been 3 years since your sway already!

I know, it shocked the crap out of me when I was typing that and realized it!!! DS 4 is coming up on 2 years old, then I was pg for 9 months before that and swayed/planned my sway months in advance of that! WOW where does the time go???
