When to DTD TTC a Girl

Hi girls - I have been doing th cardio and LE diet for many months now. I had my first PP period after weaning on 8/20. The last time I got my period (a few years ago after weaning ds1) is when I got pregnant with ds2. That cycle I ovulated on day 21 of my cycle. I'm trying to dtd every 4 days but my hubby will be gone for two days. I don't know when I should dtd. Today is cycle day 13 and I don't have a positive OPK but I have a small amount of EWCM. Here is a brief summery:

8/30 (Sunday) - CD 11 DTD already
8/31 (Monday) - cd 12
9/1 (Tuesday) - cd 13
9/2 (Wednesday) - cd 14 ?
9/3 (Thursday) - cd 15 ?
9/4 (Friday) - cd 16 X NO DH
9/5(Saturday) - cd 17 X NO DH
9/6 (Sunday) - cd 18 DH back

I was thinking I should dtd tomorrow on 9/2 and then maybe on 9/6? But then if I happen to ovulate on Saturday am I kind of out of luck meaning I would have a low chance of conceiving?

Thursday is also possible but will be tricky to DTD.

I'd stick to the e4d pattern. 9/2 would give you sperm still around on 9/5 if you ovulated then and if you don't manage it this month, at least it gives you a month of tracking to get a better idea for next month.

Thursday if you can. Otherwise Wednesday is next best. Are you using OPKs too?

Yes started using OPKs on Monday. They were both negative but I think the one on Tuesday was slightly darker.

I have lots of Ewcm today. I'm so torn if I should dtd today or tomorrow. :/ today would be better schedule wise. My dh will be gone most of the night tomorrow.

DTD every 4th day, so will be Thursday for your next attempt, I believe...

Tomorrow is going to be tricky. But I can make it happen. I'm also worried because my husband doesn't want to do anything "scheduled" or with pressure. We have a babysitter tonight.

When it comes down to it, if you don't have a positive opk today and you dtd tonight, that would just mean you're covered until Sunday and if you happen to ovulate tomorrow or Friday, it *might* count as two attempts in your fertile period, but unlikely because not much is sticking around from the attempt Sunday. It won't be the true e4d pattern, but stressing over it like this makes no sense.

That's has2. You are right. I don't want to stress. But the 60 minutes of cardio 6x a week and kind of doing the le diet is wearing down on me. I've been doing it since mid may. I tried to get my period back while nursing but wasn't able to until I weaned completely.

I just took an OPK and it was a bit darker but still negative.

If you're doing every 4 days you should stick to the pattern and not try to finagle your attempt onto a different day (unless your DH is actually not going to be home in case you should have attempt as close to when it "should" have been as possible.

THe point of the E4d method is that you don't HAVE to sit there and do all this figuring and writing up calendars because that type of attention to detail may sway blue. Just DTD every 4 days and put it out of your head. You can get pg from attempt on any of those days, it is how E4D works.
