Looking girly, I think, but so small - hard to make out well
It was a frustrating scan. I had to do a million jumping jacks, squats, laps around the building, etc because legs were crossed with cord in between! The tech said she suspected girl a few times during the scan but didn't say anything until she grabbed these shots.

I have my regular doctors appt on Monday, so I'm sure we will schedule my big ultrasound then and I'm thinking it'll be four weeks later. Probably looking at second week of November!Quote:

Usually when it's hard to see, it's a girl. Not always but usually. Boy bits are harder to hide! :)
That's exactly what the tech said lol. She said she's never had a boy be THIS modest. Ha! We got several different angles, did the blood flow numerous times to confirm cord, but never saw any boy bits trying to peak out. Unfortunately baby was in the worst position EVER and I was hoping for a nub, but she (I'm so reluctant to type that out) was being a stinker. Baby was laying upside down, diagonal with its butt crammed into the top corner of my uterus.Quote:

Thanks! I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. I'm on the fence about showing my doc my scans and getting his opinion. I sort of want to see what he says, but I'm scared I'll leave discouraged if he says gender determination isn't accurate at that stage or something. Argh!

My doctor booked my big anatomy scan for Nov. 23rd! That just seems so far away. I'll be 18 weeks at my next appt but he insisted on waiting until 20 for my scan. This has turned me into a neurotic mess and I'm contemplating booking another private scan for confirmation. Yikes! I doubt I would be second guessing this much had baby been in a better position.
With that said, all of your positive comments have kept me sane, so for that I thank you! Ha!
Update: I called the birthing center I had my scan at and the owner was amazing! She offered to rescan me for free on Saturday. No appointment necessary. She said to just call beforehand and swing by whenever it was convenient for me. Great business indeed.
