Low B12 is common among Veggies. Low D because my pasty self can't get much sun without baking in the Florida sun. We only had one attempt - 5 Days before O. It had to be then though because that was the only attempt and I was charting. It was clear when I O'd. I kept the chart that said my chance of conception that cycle was "low". Ha! I took Met throughout my pregnancy. My RE said it would prevent miscarriage in the first 12 weeks and counteract the tendency that many obese women have of IUGR. My son was early, very very early but he was large for his gestational age.
I find the smaller doses broken up over the course of the day easier to handle. I take two 500 in the morning or afternoon (I don't eat breakfast often) and two in the evening. It takes a long time to see the real benefits (6 months - 1 year). Over time though, you'll find it easier to lose weight and the PCO symptoms slowly subside. After a year, most women don't even have cysts.
