New and extremely confused

Hello,

I have been on IG for a few months and have been following the ttc girl diet. I came across this site and have read many posts by atomic that say calcium doesn't matter, ph doesn't matter, ions don't matter, testosterone might not matter. Maybe I am interpreting all these posts wrong? And I can't for the life of me figure out what DOES matter, at least according to this site.

Can someone tell me what Gender Dreaming's basic philosophy isfor a girl sway? Or do I have to pay?

I really appreciate any help or guidance in the right direction. :-)

LE diet for 12+ weeks- No snacking, vegetarian is great but not necessary, skipping breakfast, going 12-16 hours from last meal to first meal of the day, and having 2-3 meals a day.

Having one attempt in your fertile window- either at positive opk OR by BDing every 4 days from the end of AF until you get past the latest CD you've ever ovulated.

Exercise- 1 hour of cardio- does not matter the intensity

Fiber before meals

Folic Acid 1200mcg- 1600mcg daily

Some drink alcohol daily from AF to ovulation.

Some drink caffeinated beverages daily

LE diet, having one attempt, and exercise, are what sways the most. The rest is great if you can do them but not necessary (except for folic acid of course [emoji4])!

It's mostly all about maternal condition. Telling your body things are not great right now. It's better to conceive the sex which requires less resources.

Maternal condition (if you are in good condition), your overall diet, overall fertility for both you and your husband, blood sugar, muscle mass, sperm count/quality, EWCM quality - all these things matter. Some things like hormones probably make a difference but the other sites get it wrong in the way that they focus on trying to change hormones in a vaccuum by using herbs to do that - your body knows how to sway, you just need to send the right signals for it to do that.

We are getting great results with LE Diet + fiber (which is meant to GENTLY decline your condition, lower blood sugar, aand fertility, while keeping you in good enough shape to get and stay pregnant) for 12 weeks or longer, cardio exercise 60 min a day 6-7 days a week, slight weight loss, sticking with one attempt, and Clomid or Femara if you can get them. These things work very well. Most people want to include some of the old-school sway tactics and that's fine, we have info on how to do nearly all of them safely and sanely without cutting odds of conception too far. But the effective tactics are diet longer than 12 weeks, exercise, and one attempt, plus Clomid if you can get it. :)

whenever something seems confusing, just ask. I love answering questions and there is a pretty firm reason for most everything, either studies or our statistics have shown that something is/isn't working. :)

Most of us on here got 2,3,4 or more boys doing things the old-school way, so it's easy for us to walk away from those things. Those who haven't had numerous failed sways, it feels scarier. We get that! Just ask, we can help you understand why we do things the way we're doing them and/or come up with ways to incorporate the tactics that you personally believe in and want to try, that are safe and won't cut your odds of pregnancy to nothing.

Plus, our diet is SOOO much easier to stick with than plain pasta and cucumbers for months on end! :)

I have been on the IG diet for 7 weeks now. I am planning my first attempt around January 22. I was planning on doing o + 12 but also egs, tbm.

Everything I've learned up to this point feels very different from what I've been reading here on GD .

I was planning on egs because my dh doesn't want to follow any diet or take any supps to lower his testosterone levels. He's a fighter by occupation so lowering his testosterone is out of the question. I haven't seen any egs forums over here, is that something you don't support/believe in?

I've been planning on ttc in January for a while now, I really don't want to completely change my plans and add more time on. You say 12 weeks? Could the 7 I've already been on IG diet count as time served? Hah.

Yes, the 7 on IG diet is DEFINITELY time served! Hard time. In solitary confinement! ;)

Yeah, we don't do EGS here. The EGS stuff strains science to the breaking point - sperm spinning and swim up/down, just doesn't work even in labs with highly trained people using cutting edge equipment and lab quality supplies, there's just no way it's working for people who are looking at sperm thru toy microscopes and using homemade egg whites and sugar water. We get about the same results as reported by Dr. Ericcson with swaying (between 70-75% for pink, 75%-80% for blue) without any of that.

So if you don't advocate for timing when do you suggest dtd? I think I read somewhere on here ever 4 days is that correct? I thought that was blue territory though? I see you say abstaining sways pink ,but for how long? I was going to do FR because my husband doesn't seem fond of the idea of abstaining and I don't think he will :-(

If you want to start off using O+12, that's cool. This is YOUR sway, your way. But just DTD 48 hours after first positive OPK, and don't stress yourself out by doing all the cervix poking and prodding. DTD once 48 hours after positive OPK is like the "dummies" version of O+12. :)

Don't even worry about it - most of our husbands are testosterone machines and would do nothing to help sway! (including mine!)

The abstain, we started off thinking it would really help, but we tracked our results and it's been kinda poopy actually. So if he won't do it, wave it buh-bye and don't even give it a second thought. YOu can either have him release on his own or with you, with a condom, every 2-4 days, OR have him "do what he does" without even worrying about it. The important thing is (and this surprised us too) is keeping to one unprotected attempt in the fertile window. Regardess of the day of the attempt, regardless of what hubby did for frequency, that one attempt has been pure gold for us.

The every 4 days method is just a kind of painless way of ensuring that you have one attempt in that fertile window. If you do that, you'll be certain of having one attempt without really even thinking about it. I know it seems crazy "uncontrolled" compared to the IG way (which involves hunting down every possible sway "factor" and beating it into submission LOL) but we have found, time and again, that holding on too hard, trying to control too much is a recipe for boys. :/ Weird but true.

So if no egs, what about his ph? Doesn't matter? He's an 8. He injects testosterone. Do u you still think tbm with lime isn't necessary?

This is one of those things where those of us who have pH opposites - it's easier for us to walk away from it. I got my 4th boy with a pH of 4.5-5 that never went up till I was already pregnant, so it was very easy for me to take a pass on that. I also started off swaying back in 2007/8 with a bunch of ladies who were doing all this stuff with limes and TBM and many of them never got pregnant at all doing that (some ended up with no baby at all still to this day becuase they wasted so much time on douching and O+12, and many others got opposites). One of my goals for this site is to get the max number of people pregnant with their desired gender, within a reasonable time, and when people are going on swaying for many months or even years, then getting oppostites anyway, that is not cool in my book.

These big superinvolved projects - they do something to us mentally/emotionally that sways hugely blue. So it's an advantage of the KISS principle (Keep it simple, sweetie) that it may even help your sway not to do them - But at the end of it all, it's your sway and you have to do what YOU are going to be happy about at the end of the day. TBM with lime is way better than the EGS stuff!!

Re testosterone - testosterone has not been proven for DW, let alone for DH. When I actuallly hunted down all the studies and read them, I was SHOCKED at how flimsy all the data is. We have other info that indicates that guys who are "juicing" and are very high in unnatural testosterone actually are having more GIRLS than boys. Additionally, Clomid, which raises testosterone levels has been swaying pink when taken by DW. So testosterone has a big "unknown" stamped on it in my mind. I certainly wouldn't resort to EGS because of that.

I've already began the process of returning my microscope to its seller. It feels like a relief. I did already read the ph pickle and it does make sense. It's so hard to accept it, though, because it blatantly contradicts everything I've been learning these last few months.


I was wondering about the cardio. Since starting the IG diet I've lost 5lbs. I'm currently 112 lbs. If I start exercise I know from experience more weight will just melt off. Is it ok to become pregnant at a low weight like 100-105 lbs?

My gut says no. I believe I was around 110 when I conceived all 3 of my boys.

I'm sorry to jump on this post but I can't figure out how to write my own post . I have been sticking to a vegetarian diet for 4 weeks and no breakfast but I am struggling with the LE . I eat a lot of sweets and chocolate does sugar sway blue ? What sort of things should I be eating ? Do I have to pay for this info or could someone please point me in the right direction ? X

Atomic, why is the fiber necessary?

Yes I forgot you said fiber. Is there a supp I should add for that?

So far I'm taking calcium, magnesium, cranberry, saw palmetto, acidophilus, folic acid. After reading one of your essays I have started to taper down the cranberry. I was going to order clomid and have 1 peppermint tea a day.

Overkill? My cycles are normal, 25 days.

Oh and I order vitex yesterday :bigsmile: Am I doing too much lol

The thing that's important to keep in mind is that virtually all the swaying info on all other sites comes from the same 3 theories that were all invented 50 or more years ago. Once these things were tested with new technology then it became apparent that they weren't correct, but the theories were so ingrained that people think they have to do things that way. The only reason why they all seem to agree except for us, is just because they're using the same old things over and over.

It's ok to get pregnant at a lower weight BUT my rule of thumb is BMI of 21 - try to hold steady. If a little more weight sneaks off after that, it's ok. But don't drop below 18.5 no matter what. EVen if it means increasing calories, we've had success up to 2000 cals a day as long as the protein and fat are kept under control.

To answer your question - vegetarian diet does help sway pink. Can you tell me more about what YOU think LE Diet is?? Most of us find LE Diet easy to stick to. Many times when people are struggling it's because they ahve a misunderstanding of what LE Diet is supposed to be.

Sugar does not sway blue with the exception of people who have PCOS or insulin resistance. Most people are able to eat sugar as a part of your overall diet, but you may find that because you need to be getting 40-50 g protein, 30-60 g fat, and are limited to 1500-1800 cals on LE Diet, you'll actually be eating LESS sugar than before.

I answered some of your q's but yes I do think some of that is overkill. If you're doing Clomid, you can't do vitex and saw palmetto anyway, and also you have to do one or the other with pep tea and SP.

Some peopel like to take V and SP or V and pep tea for some period of time (like 6 weeks) prior to the Clomid.

Do be sure to drop the acidophilus though. WE got terrrible results with that and now use it only for blue sways!!!
