I haven't ovulated but afraid I missed my LH surge, when to dtd?

So I am on CD 11.

According to FF last cycle I o'd CD 12 but my gut tells me it was CD 13.

The cycle before that I O'd CD 14 and before that CD 15.

Yesterday my cm was creamy/watery and my cervix is lower. I was sensitive last night dtd (protected ) because of it even, which always happens right around O time.

Today my cm is ewcm and I have mild cramping. I usually get pretty intense cramps on O day so I don't think I'm quite there yet....

FF says I will O Wednesday CD 14.

What's throwing me off is the ewcm already. Since dieting and all I usually only get it on O day, maybe the day before.

I'm afraid I missed my surge..... these last few months I've been charting I have never gotten a positive opk twice. When I get a positive the next one 4 hours later is negative, and that's it. I guess I'm afraid I surged in my sleep or something.

I don't know if I'm more venting or asking for advice but what do you think? Should I just keep testing and possibly miss this month if i missed it or do my one attempt and what day?

My gut is saying tonight or tomorrow but if I did it tonight that could be a 3 day cut off, I feel like that's too much. Tomorrow? Gah. I appreciate any help:-)

Something like this happened to me last year. I panicked thinking I was ovulating (had O pains) but was worried I had missed my surge so we went ahead and DTD. We DTD again four days later but I had already O'ed the day before. Despite it being an O-3 attempt, I got pregnant that cycle. Do you always O around the same cycle day? E4D might work better if you're worried about missing your surge.

I do hear what you are saying and that makes sense. I've never o'd past day 15 that I'm aware of. So if we dtd today on cd 11 and then again on cd 15 that should be good? That's not too many attampts?

That would still be considered one attempt even if you ovulated on CD15 and had attempts CD11 and 15. Even if you O'ed CD14 with a CD11 attempt that's still better than not DTD at all and missing the opportunity, you know? Do what you're comfortable with. Good luck with whatever you decide! :)

What brand of opks are you using? I rarely get a good positive with the ebay cheapies so it would be bery easy to miss.

Sounds like e4d is the best option for you if you can't get an opk+.

Ah ok.. they are supposed to be ok. I just ordered some from Amazon since the ebay cheapies I have are a bit useless.

Do you test the same time every day?

Oh that's a bummer yours are no good. Yeah, I think they work just fine.. My surge just always seems hard to catch :-/

I usually test with 2nd or 3rd morning urine.... as I heard first thing in the morning can cause a false positive. If it looks like there's something there then I'll test every 4 hours. But if I get busy and have to leave the house is can easily go 8 or more hours without testing and then miss it :-(

We attempted last night. My cramps are worse today so if I O today or even tomorrow then I think that should be fine. And if not then I'll just be more diligent with opks next month's :-)

I suggest using the CB advanced digital OPK in future cycles, if you don't conceive this cycle. I rarely get positive OPKs but the CBAD works really well for me if used carefully. I agree E4D is your best bet this cycle.

^ I agree with Maiden on the CB advanced OPKs. It could at least give you a heads up on things especially since you test with FMU. The only caveat is it can give you several days of high readings before peak. If you're doing E4D though then you don't have to use OPKs if you don't want.

When in doubt, DTD. You can get pregnant from attempt before O, but not after.

O pains and EWCM can change when swaying so don't put too much stock into them.
