My husband smokes. Can we still have a successful BLUE sway?

Hi,

Just a quick question. My husband smokes. He's been smoking since he was a teenager and hasn't managed to quit (or cut down). We have two girls. I am convinced because of his smoking habit we are only able to conceive girls! We want to try for a boy but I'm a little scared that even following the blue sway guidelines to a T we will end up having another girl. He will take all the supplements in the world and do whatever it takes EXCEPT quitting! Or cutting down. :worry:

Any advice?

My husband too has smoked since he was a teenager and we have 3 boys, he has now changed to the electronic ones, the fertility doc even tried to make him give up but that's not happening

I just wanted to let u know that I currently have a friend who is 20 weeks pregnant with a little boy (after 2 girls) and her husband is a smoker. Plus they didn't do any swaying either so there is certaunly hope for you ladies, esp if you are doing blue sway tactics as well good lucj. :)

DH smoked when we had DS1 and DS2.

My friends husband is a HEAVY smoker (both cigarettes and the whacky tabaccy 😨) and they have two boys. On reflection, I know heaps of Dad's who smoke who have boys.

Yes, you always have a chance of a boy no matter what!!!

That having been said, I do see an overwhelming % more people who have girls who are smokers amongst my custom swayers and it's also been shown to sway pink in studies. So even if he were to just cut back a bit, it may help.

:agree: defo called "wacky tobaccy" here in the US as well. We usually call it "Special T" around here because while I live where it's legal but I know for most of you it isn't. :/ Don't want anyone to get into trouble talking about things that could get your hubs in trouble.

While I know smoking can sway pink, and my husband's occasional cigar and pipe use made me feel it could have played a role in us conceiving a girl (though I was hardcore LE without realizing it... sigh), I know so, so many men who are really avid cigarette smokers who have at least one boy, let alone more than that. I know several smoking women who ended up with boys, too.

I feel the data on women smokers is less reliable because JMO!! a lot of gals who smoke tend to be a little bit bad asses LOL and just seem like boy moms. :)

The only thing my husband really did different between our boys and our girl (at least deliberately) was that he started smoking a pipe when he turned 40.
