So I've read on here that too long of a cut-off, such as four days will sway blue. I'm confused about it. Can someone explain why it would sway blue?

from what i have read on here, if you are doing the diet and supps, cut off dosent really matter, because of the acidity attacking the blue spermies.
but my personal experience has showed, cut off is irrelevant.
according to shettles 3 day cut off should make a girl, but my youngest was 3 days prior ovulation, and he is most definatly a boy!, and im pretty sure the one before him was 3-4 days aswell, another boy!
but i would also love to hear the opinions of the ladies on here.

agree with above that if you have a pink diet that is the bit that will sway far more than any timing will, and it can be difficult (impossible for some) to conceive with such a long cut off anyway

I don't believe that any of the things we do for a pink sway kill off boy sperm but not girl sperm but they do lower sperm count overall and lower sperm count, for reasons we're not entirely sure of, sways pink. That's the aim with abstinence/frequent BDing, drying up EWCM with antihistimines, using acidic gels etc., to make sure that less sperm overall make it to the egg. Perhaps if you weren't doing any of these other things and you had a cut-off that would sway pink for you (because less sperm would be alive by the time you ovulated) but if you're doing lots else (and those things are the more proven things!) then I think you have to time your attempt to get you pregnant!
So I understand that cutting off too soon sways not getting pregnant.
But when I read that it sways blue, that's where I get confused.
For example, if you mis-time your cut-off and it's too early, you risk not getting pregnant. But do you risk it being a boy?
regardless of when you DTD you still have roughly 50-50 chances of getting a girl. The only exception might be o+12 but not seen a study that tested that in an unbiased way yet.
have a look at this chart: http://www.nejm.org/action/showImage...332301&iid=f04 I don't believe they found it to be statistically significant i.e you're not more likely to statistically get more girls/boys on any particular day relative to ovulation so I personally don't think that DTD too early and you'll get a boy. We will be DTD through O simply so we can conceive faster and use other methods for our sway (diet, jump+dump, RepHresh, etc)
There were some studies which said that conceiving early (ie. with a long cut-off) and late in the cycle would give you a boy and conceiving somewhere in the middle would give you a girl, which the researcher believed to be something to do with the LH surge swaying girl - but then again, if you look hard enough you'll find a study which suggests just about every scenario regarding timing, which is why so many of us believe that it actually doesn't matter.

Now, just to further complicate matters, back when Dr. Shettles was most popular back in the 70's, several studies were done to see if they could replicate Shettles' timing studies. One of the researchers (Dr. Rodrigo Guerrero - if you Google him you'll find his studies) found a timing pattern that completely seemed to debunk Shettles and found that intercourse 5 or more days before O day seemed to produce boys somewhere in the neighborhood of 70% of the time. So on some sites, you may read something like "long cutoffs make boys" or something like that which can also be confusing. There may have been some problems with Dr. Guerrero's methodology, chiefly the way he calculated O day. It is quite unlikely that BD 5 days out is responsible for many conceptions at all anyway.
Since that time, timing intercourse as a method of gender swaying has been investigated within an inch of its life, using methods and technology that neither Shettles nor Guerrero had access to, and the consensus has been that timing doesn't sway. There are no consistent results, and if you see a study that seems to indicate one thing, another study finds the exact opposite, which to me seems to say that any findings in timing are just because of a small sample size and another study with another small sample size finds the opposite just from sheer dumb luck.
Here is an essay about why Dr. Shettles was wrong about blue sperm being weaker than X sperm. Completely debunked. Dr. Shettles made a huge error regarding the size of X and Y sperm, he mistook capacitated and uncapacitated sperm for X and Y, and anything based on his theory (the whole idea that X are big and slow and strong and Y are small, fast, and weak) should be dropped.
