Hey how are you Albertans doing with the fires??? I hope everyone is safe and sound.

I'm 4.5 hours south of the Fort McMurray Fire, but we are getting lots of evacuees down where we are. Lots of people left their homes with only a small suitcase. The whole city of 80,000 were forced to evacuate. Most of the city was saved but 15%-20% of the city was lost.

It's so dry here. We have had several fires pop up around us but have been put out pretty quickly. There is a province wide fire ban!!!

Ugh! I'm so over all these fires I can't even tell you!! I hope everyone is able to return home soon with minimal loss of homes.

I am not Canadian, originally from South Africa, then moved to Australia. Stayed in Canada for 4 months with family whilst travelling- Loved your beautiful country. I would move there in a heartbeat if I could.

We're in Calgary, we've got a evacuated family staying with us. They were helicoptered out! Terrifying, they have two little ones. I understand all the kids aren't in schools, there's no room for them all. There's a big mess to clean up.
