Was looking at the clear blue ovulation tests for the next time we TTC. There are two different ones, a purple and a pink cap one, which one is best?
Or do you think I should carry on using the normal lined non digital type of test?
The only thing that puts me off the digital is that they wouldn't be as sensitive, I know that's definitely the case with the HPTs. I never use the clear blue digitals of those.

I am not a fan of the Clearblues. I feel like in attempting to avoid confusion, they end up adding it, plus they're so expensive you can't test freely with them. I prefer a good brand of paper strips like Wondfo.
Thanks atomic, I've never used the paper strip type ones as I've always been worried they arnt as sensitive. Always used the plastic stick ones which are like the clear blue but a lined version and not digital. Will try the strips though as at least can test freely with them :)

I use ovuplan and they work ok. Not sure if they are available outside of Australia.
Ebay cheapies are really faint so probably best to avoid, although they work for some people.
If you're buying them on line I have heard good things about Wondfo and Babi. But if you have a kind that works for you by all means continue with them, I am just not a fan of the Clearblues per se.
Yeah, I hate the clear blue digital HPTs so I think I will avoid the opks. The cheap paper ones on Amazon that I can find are called One Step if you've heard of those? I'm in the UK x

The one step ones sound like the cheap ebay ones so they probably aren't any good.
I ordered wondfos from Amazon and they never arrived! I got my money back but it was still annoying. You might have better luck in the UK.
Can you gauge ovulation based on CM? Usually CM flows for 3-4 days about 10-14 days before AF.... thoughts?
If it works for you, go ahead. I didn't use opks when ttc my second, I just went by cm. Now that I know one attempt sways girl I think I'll try opks to make sure my attempt isn't totally off-base though. Plus some women find their cm disappears on the diet.Quote:

The Amazon sellers you have to watch out for, it's not the Wondfos but the company who's selling them.
Not in any reliable way. I have had months where I got CM as early as CD 3 and with my daughter, it kept going till 2 days after I ovulated!!Quote:
