BFN :( what to do differently this time

Hi,
Just after some advice on what to change this time round pls...
So last two attempts at baby making didn't work, which I'm not used to as with my 4 boys I fell preg first go..We've gone off the whole timing thing as its a pain in the a$$ having irregular cycles from breastfeeding and it apparently doesn't work anyway lol.

Last cycle hubby abstained for a week and we did one attempt which ended up being 4 days from ov (too far away I guess?) because I had a longer cycle than expected. I used a vinegar douche, hubby had a warm bath and J&D afterwards. I'd only been on the diet for a couple weeks (so that probably doesn't even count?) hubby and I both drinking alcohol and I drank coffee. I'm thinking we were too far away from ov or maybe the douche killed off too many swimmers?

So I'm thinking this cycle keep going with diet/alcohol/coffee, one attempt at +OPK after abstain (hubby doesn't have stamina for FR) skip the douche! , warm bath for hub and J&D...or would this still be overkill? Lol

Perhaps leave out the j&d (maybe wait 15 mins or so) and if you not that fussed about abstain.. you could always just DTD (protected) 2-4 days prior to attempt at +opk.

Hi Mummy, I would skip douche and maybe the J&D too. You could do every 4th day for unprotected sex. That helps take the pressure off of catching your positive OPK. You DTD e4d from after AF is done until about a week after O or all the way till you get Af again. It gets good girl results.

I personally would probably drop the J&D too, but you could try it without the douche for a cycle or two!

The J and D is the least of your problems LOL.

4 day cutoff is a really hard way to conceive, especially with a douche, abstain, and j and d. So I'm in agreement that you guys moving to one attempt at pos OPK, no douche, and J and D of 5 min. instead of immediately will really help. :)

We weren't trying for a 4 day cut off, my ov day jumped around again but I didn't want to risk another attempt this cycle so left it at that :/ Will definitely drop the douche for good and leave the swimmers for a few minutes to have a fighting chance lol. Thanks ladies! :)

We don't know. Two different sets of people are getting pregnant that way and it skews the results. People who are super fertile and get pregnant easily may be more set for blue, and so they start off doing one attempt + abstain and can get pregnant that way, but they may have more boys regardless because they're so fertile. People go to every 4 days usually only after having tried one attempt + abstain or FR, and they don't get pregnant and only after a few months do they go to e4d. Additionally this gives them longer on diet and exercise as well. So we just can't compare the two. We do know that people are getting good results with both of them but I can't tell anyone which is better.

Well third times a charm! BFP!!! yay!!! Dropped the douche and hot bath this time and still managed to get pregnant 3 days from ovulation & j&d after 5 mins.. Now praying for pink :D

Good luck amelia10 ! :) I'm a bit worried that I dropped too many things though and will end up with a 5th boy :/

I know it's a constant rollercoaster .. 1st to get pregnant and the waiting game begins for the desired gender! I hope u hear pink this time x
