The tech was very familiar and trained with nub theory. She told us her expert guess [emoji4]. Let's see what you all think [emoji6]! This is the best image she printed. She didn't print the image that she used to explained her guess to us. The baby was measuring exactly 13w3d. The baby has its legs drawn up to its abdomen and the nub is right below the femur.

I wanted to add that I had the MaterniT21 Plus blood work drawn today and should get the results back in 5-10 business days!

Im no expert but it looks girly!! WOOT!! Cant wait to hear what the tech said, although I have a feeling she said pink!!!!

I've never tried guessing lol but you said your boys had clear penis and scrotum by this stage and this pic does not. By process of elimination I guess pink. <3

At 13w?! I'd be surprised if this wasn't a girl! I know legs are drawn up which sort of makes this a trickier shot based on perspective, but I'm guessing girl!!! Your shot actually looks girlier than my DD's did also at 12w6d measuring 13w! (Our tech also trained in nub theory couldn't make a guess on DD).

The tech I saw only gives nub guesses from 13w on and early gender guesses between 15 and 16 weeks.

Nope. The MaterniT21 Plus test specifically states it is one of the few NIPTs that can sex twins. Plus since mine dated 5w5d when the other one dated 8w3d, the lab said that it shouldn't have an effect on the detecting the gender since no fetal pole or anything was ever detected.

I'll share what the tech said today at our appointment- it's a sweet story!

She started off by saying she didn't want to know what the genders were of the children we had at home until later on. The whole scan, I'm not seeing any boy nub, just a long, flat nub. My DH asked if it was too early to have any gender clues, and she told us about the nub theory. She had the perfect nub shot displayed (long, flat, and completely parallel to the spine) and explained to us that our baby had a classic girl nub. She then asked us what our children's genders were. When we told her three boys, we all got teary eyed! She said while nub theory isn't 100%, she would be shocked if this turned out to be boy #4!

I don't want to get our hopes up, but this is the closest we've ever been to having a DD that this is enough for us. If this is boy #4, it's been wonderful to have this experience. We both are expecting to be told this is a boy for us (this is how my luck works, haha!), and we are just as excited!

Tentative girl but I am a little tentative because I feel the bottom part of the shot is a bit cut off possibly.

I am getting a real girly vibe from this! I really really hope so!!!
Either way what an adorable bub�� I just love these early ultrasound pics they are amazing x

I missed this part! :heart:

This is how i felt all along no matter how many times i was told it was a girl i didnt truely believe i couldnt allow myself to until she was in my arms. Really thought it was going to be my luck that i was being told girl only to give birth to boy number 4.
I will never forget the 1st time my hubby took me to buy baby girl clothes. I stood in the store and cried.happy tears of cause.
