For me, when the cheapie is pos but the digital isn't, I'm really close to ovulating but not quite. Usually later that day or the next I'll get a pos digi.

I usually O the day after the pos digi. If you just BD last night, then that would probably give you an O-2 or O-3 attempt depending on when the digi is pos. It's also possible to not O even with a pos OPK.

Yes, people have this issue and in that case I want you to go with the early bird since early attempts can get you pregnant, but waiting around for a second positive that may never come may mean you end up missing the egg entirely.

Atomic, my digi was negative again this afternoon and opk looks lighter. My temp went up this morning, but I had a bad sleep so maybe that's why. Here are my opk's. would you BD again tonight, which would be e3d? Or hold off until tomorrow?

I must admit with Clomid on the horizon I'd be tempted to stretch it a day but if you want to get pregnant this month, have attempt.
I didn't see your post until the morning atomic and we ended up BD last night. [emoji51] It was an e3d attempt. Hoping that I O'd already since my temps have been higher for 2 days and it really won't count, but we shall see...

Thanks atomic!! Have you seen people O the same day that they get their positive opk?? It seems to have happened this cycle and the last one, but of course you can't really confirm O date. Just curious as I'm getting a temp increase the day after my 1pm positive opk.
Looking back at my charts when I was ttc no.4 and 5 I always got a +opk the same day as crosshairs on FF (except the cycle I got 4 in a row, crosshairs on 2nd day of +) then along came dd5!

I was a custom plan swayer at the time. It was only about 2 months after a mc though.

Well, the thing about positive OPK is that they are what they are, but they don't tell you when O happens. So I can't pin down your O day from the OPK or even the OPK + temps. There are too many variables. Such as, it may very well be that you were really surging the day before but the concentration in your urine did not go high enough to detect (even though your body still detected it!) or the one temp was wrong and it's all just up in the air.Quote:

There is a reason why they need 3 high temps to confirm O. It is because one high temp can be wrong!! So we can never totally know for sure when O happened because while we can tell that it did (because 3 high temps) if the first high temp was a fluke it can make it look earlier than it really was.

I tested CD18 with a 4 hour hold and basically no liquids at 1pm and it was negative, but I didn't test again that night (wish I would have, but got our e4d BD in anyway that night) until the next day at 1pm, which was positive. I'm hoping that the temps were accurate for O and that I had only the O-1 attempt. But what will be will be... 🤞 Tests start on Friday! [emoji322]
