Hi Ladies! I just have a quick question, are Diet Coke and crystal light allowed whenever, at any time of the day or only with meals? I know that we shouldn't snack throughout the day but I'm not sure if that applies to drinks?

You can drink them whenever you want. Any non calorie beverage is fine throughout the day!

I often used diet coke AS a snack before my DD ;)
Definitely using Diet Coke as a snack...

I also used crystal light and Coke Zero to curb hunger and I'm having my first girl!! [emoji4]
Didn't it get you more hungry?? Or give you heartburn? Better than nothing for sure! [emoji23]

Scientifically, you're right! Artificial sweetners don't trigger satiation. For me though, it was almost more of a distraction from hunger to drink flavored things like diet soda or ICE beverages (I had SO many sparkling ICE brand beverages before my DD. Like... 2 or 3 a day).Quote:

Lulila-exactly what Throwaway Panther said! It was definitely a distraction to have the taste of something sweet!
Crystal Light helped me get through the mornings when I first started swaying. Now I can wait till noon before eating with no issues.. I've been at it for 22 weeks now though!
I'm sure i'll become an addict when i start the LE diet until i get used to not snacking or breakfast. I can see myself filling a bottle to take to school to get through the morning 🤣
