As the title asks really do you have to cut out dairy to sway blue? i have read that this is meant to be the case quite a lot. Is dairy acidic? i know for blue alkaline is meant to be better. I only have milk in tea and cereal. I have cut out cheese and yogurt xx
Alkalinity and acidity don't sway. That's an old school tactic. Actually your body has to remain at a certain pH (around 7.4) otherwise it could be deadly. Dairy is actually good for swaying blue. I ate tons of it when I conceived my two oldest boys and I know it's recommended to have full fat dairy for blue swayers.
Agreed, the long term swayers here have seen so many pH opposites most no longer bother with any of the acidic/alkaline stuff. Blue swayers here follow the high nutrient HE diet of which full fat dairy (milk, cheese and yoghurt) is encouraged.
I feel so confused now :( I have read that so many people said avoiding dairy helped there sway. So hard to know what to do and what not to do. Apart from this I have tried to focus on nutrition. I am a vegetarian and try and have as much protein as poss.. how many grams of protein do we need per meal? XxQuote:

That is a belief held by some but we have not found that to be the case. The best study ever done on maternal diet and gender conceived found that moms with the highest intake of calcium actually had the most BOYS, not girls. When we tracked our results in the first year of the site, the blue swayers who did the low calcium, high sodium diets had by far more girl opposites than the people who did the higher calcium High Everything type diet.
I know it feels confusing at first but most of us on here got opposites doing things the "old school" sway diet way and we were trying to find more reliable ways. So when we see people headed down the road of doing things that never worked for us in the first place we want to help you avoid it. I got 4 boys drinking tons of dairy, my last two I was drinking tons of dairy and taking calcium supplements too, and then I gave it all up to get my girl. My husband and I barely had any dairy, I didn't take supplements, etc. Only then did I get a girl!!

I think milk is great for swaying blue and I had 2 failed girl sways where I was guzzling milk. If you like it I would drink it.

Not sure on how long it will take to get your levels back up but yes start eating full fat dairy like yoghurt and cheese. Blue swayers also take a good multivitamin which will help too.Quote:

I got all 4 of my boys eating cheese and yogurt in massive quantities. I mean daily I would eat 4 oz cheese and 1-2 servings of yogurt. I gave all that up and only then conceived a girl.
6 weeks on HE Diet has gotten good results though so I think that is enough time.
Sugar is not bad for a boy sway, the "acid alkaline" diets do not work and I ate sugar all the time when i got my boys. It makes no difference to your sway that you gave it up, though, as long as eating tons of nutrients.
Custom Sways are everything but diet and then I help you day to day with diet stuff in the Coaching Forum that comes with the sway plan. I don't do meal ideas for each meal but I do have a 21 day diet book that is available to purchase as an add on to the Custom Plans. :)
Thanks for your reply Atomic. I am a vegetarian can you please advise on good sources of protein? I feel confused with it all. Quinoa is good isn't it? Tofu I used to have but from what I read it can raise estrogen? So I stopped thinking testosterone is means to be better.. should I have carried on with it? have quite a lot of quorn which is a protein substitute for Vegys, I try have nuts, eggs, beans, lentils, yogurt now also. I dont know how much of these foods i should have in a day? Any other things you could suggest.. should I take protein powder?Quote:

Quinoa is actually the only non-meat source that is a complete protein! So definitely a great protein source, especially for blue.Quote:

Are you averse to things like brewers yeast? There is protein and BCAAs you'd normally find in meat in there.
Atomic isn't a big fan of protein powders, but if you're not vegan, there are whey powders out there that are pure whey without the added stuff that could sway pinker. Quest makes a good unflavored whey protein out there, and there are egg based protein powders too.
Personally, I'd avoid the Quorn and processed meat alternatives. Those things are often full of soy and other fillers that aren't the healthiest.

I am also vegetarian and swaying blue. I am finding hard time to take protein with every meal. What protein sources you are taking?

I don't eat that much meat during the day really ever and when I got my boys I had dairy, beans, eggs, nuts, pasta during the day.
So an average day for me would be:
Breakfast:
4 oz. cheese ****s OR 1/2 cup nuts
2 large cups of tea
Sometimes I'd have oranges or dates with this
Lunch:
Dinner leftovers or
Spaghetti w/cheese on top, sometimes with meat sauce but usually not or
Egg tacos or
Fried egg sandwich or
Bean burrito or
Peanut Butter and Jelly or
Bagel with lots of cream cheese
Salad with nuts, eggs, cheese, or meat
Rarely I'd have deli meat sandwich
Dinner - I would have what most people have regularly for dinner - casseroles, pasta with meat sauce, meat and potatoes, chicken and rice, fish, hamburgers, etc.
Then I usually snacked between all three meals LOL!! Not huge amounts, but a chocolate bar at work, or an avocado with salsa and chips in the afternoon, and then I always, always had a bedtime snack of either yogurt and berries or else cereal with milk.
I don't think the dinners were different than what most people eat, it was what I'd have for breakfast and lunch and then the snacks.
