Introducing Ms. Tessa Anne, our rainbow baby after 5 years of infertility/loss

Our family is overjoyed to welcome Ms. Tessa Anne, our much longed for rainbow baby, born Mon Aug 28. That she is our first girl was just the giant cherry on the sundae after 5 years of infertility and repeat losses. Even though the pregnancy was fraught with worry and stress, and induced labour agonizing in its own way (4cm to fully dilated in just over an hour with no epidural! OWWWW) it was all worth it to welcome our sweet Tessa into the world. We also found out she is the first girl born to my hubby's side of the family in 4 generations! Wow!

She has been attached to me pretty much since birth (ok to my boobs LOL) and even though I'm exhausted and sleep deprived I'm loving every moment. Actually anytime hubby takes her I want her right back!

We will probably be calling her Queen Tessa soon as she is very opinionated, sassy, and strong willed already! She is going to rule this roost it seems.

Enjoying every moment, can't believe we finally had another healthy baby and a girl too. It's a dream come true.

Thanks!! I had to take a break from the forums for awhile, it was getting to the point where we had to just let all the ttc fade into the background to give ourselves a mental break. And then the whole pregnancy I was just stressed and scared and didn't want to think too much about it. It feels surreal to be on the other side with happy news after so long!

I am absolutely savouring EVERY second. And I love that babygirl is a total cuddlebug....like literally she is upset if she's not clinging to me. Some would say that's hard but for me I looooooove it. Every second has been awesome. I have a hard time even letting DH hold her LOL.

OMG Lace I can't believe I am reading this! After all your heartache, geez I still remember your cycle with HRC :( So Happy for you! These baby girls sure make us wait! Enjoy every second even the leaky boobs and sleepless nights! I miss them kind of LOL! XOXO

It's kinda crazy huh? For a long time it just seemed impossible. My current RE called us to congratulate us when we emailed them pics, which was so sweet of him - he says he tells my story to his patients as an example of why there's always hope even when it seems so hopeless. Mostly I was always too stubborn to quit lol.

Tessa is the clingiest of my babies and she wants to be attached to me (well, my boob) pretty much every waking second, lol. It's exhausting but I LOVE it. I wish I didn't have to sleep just so I didn't miss a single second of her babyhood. It's a good thing DH isn't the jealous type because I hardly even let him hold her LMAO.
