Hi all
I am 9 weeks, had an ultrasound due to extreme dizziness and headache. Everything was fine.. baby was already moving, there was good heartbeat.
When I came home and showed ultrasound to my husband he pointed at second sac and asked me about it.. I don't know how I didn't notice it. My obgyn never said anything about twins. She did said there is no bleeding now! So it means second sac looking thing is not a blood. Wat is it? A hidden twin?

Sorry hun I am not too sure, are you sure thats a second sac? I would say call your doc, they should have a copy that they look at and answer any questions.Quote:

She is unfortunately on holiday for 1week. It was her last working day today :(
Oh man im sorry! Is there any other drs/nps in her office that could help maybe? I would really think that the dr would have said something if it was anything of concern, or a twin. It is very apparent theres something there so they should have noticed. Maybe try not to get too worried, im sure it's nothing bad. Sorry im not more help, didnt want to leave you hangin.Quote:

Unfortunately that's not the case in middle East. No one else can answer unless I book an appointment with new obgyn. It's not easy to go and wait for long with 4 years old and 17 months old :(

To me the 'sac' just looks like the resolution of your bleeding/hematoma. If it was a twin/vanishing twin I'm sure your Dr would have mentioned it. And as Babygirlquest mentioned, a second baby and HB would've been evident at 9 weeks if there were one there.
Thank you Ladies. But than what is this FHR (fetal heart rate) 357 (2) bpm here?? What does that mean?? I am sure FHR could not be this high??
Sometimes I've seen them put two images into one picture, kind of morphing them into one and I wonder if that's what is going on here. i think the fetal heart rate may be some kind of code but not totally sure. I have seen on several occasions on people's test results, a code number in place of the actual result and it creates confusion. Never have seen that on an ultrasound but that's what it makes me think of.
I don't she never put such codes on scans. :(
Why would she morph it? :S it was a super quick scan. Hope that is not vanishing twin?
Samish they do look considerably different in size. It may be a haematoma. Im sure if it was twins they would have mentioned both. I hope you get some answers soon.

Did you see your doctor after the scan? I know u/s techs aren’t suppose to say anything. When is your doctor back? I have a hematoma too, but mine is placed differently in the uterus. Did they say where yours was? It might be good to hop on an ultrasound forum - there might be professionals with a better understanding. Good luck! I’ll be following for an update!
Samish I hope you will get an answer soon. Just wanted to tell that I had a hematoma with my son when I was 11 weeks. Had to stay in hospital due to this for 3 days because of bleeding and on the ultrasound my hematoma looked similiar to your pic. But of couse it could be something else
I think it is two pictures morphed together. That would explain the (2) in parentheses as well. It is likely the heartbeat measure on both added together. Very fast heartbeat then.
I will be seeing her on Saturday.
But My friend's mom is high risk obgyn, she showed it to her mom and she said, there is nothing to worry about. It is singleton and everything is fine. As far as FHR is concerned, she said some techs caliber their machines that way and (2) is a hint to divide it by 2. so that makes it 178 which is normal. I just hope higher Hb doesn't mean another girl lol!!
now that I KNOW the answer to and heartrate does not predict gender.
My daughter was the lowest heartrate of my 5!
