The amount I have you guys take is a fraction of the amount in the capsules and the reason I do it this way is because I saw sooo many people having side effects from cinnamon capsules!! Not because I"m a big meanie that likes to sit around thinking of things to scare people with, it's because people (myself included) DID HAVE side effects up to and including passing out and bleeding and bruising from cinnamon capsules.
Anything in excess - sugar, salt, even oxygen - can be harmful if you get too high a concentration. And cinnamon is definitely in this camp. Just by lowering your blood sugar too far it can make you pass out (this has actually happened to people) and if you pass out and hit your head, or pass out behind the wheel of a car, yes, you absolutely can die. If you pass out when you're taking care of small children, your children could come to harm. This is not even getting into the blood thinning effects, the potential harm to your liver, and side effects we don't know about yet.
