I just had my scan today.. it's a girl. not a boy. Totally disappointed. Doesnt in this pic, looks like a boy?! :(
I'm one of 4 girls and it was great having 3 sisters
it does look like a boy in that pic, perhaps it was the cord?
I'm sorry. I didn't guess because I wasn't sure. I think at 15 weeks, there would be an obvious scrotum too. This pic does look like a boy and anyone wanting a girl would have assumed so as well. I think with hindsight, the protrusion is somewhat pointed as girls can be with large nubs and this looks more like a 14 week scan when you are in that in between phase of the girl's nub still disappearing.
Your tech didn't get the right view and it's unfortunate to have a boy guess from the tech without a higher level of confidence.
I'm sorry you were let down like this.
I really don't understand.. Last month, I had the scan, and it was obvious a boy. Now, I don't see his penis at all. Doctor showed me the three lines. Can he make mistake this time? I am going to have another scan in 12 weeks.. To me, it's definitely a girl. :(
Do you have a picture? At nearly 20 weeks, it really should be abvious and unless the machine or tech is really poor, I can't imagine a 20 week scan being wrong. Do you have a picture?Quote:

the baby's legs were crossed.. 1st tech couldn't see... then dr came in.. he announced it's a girl.

I don't think the new pic is that clear of a girl shot. I was told girl at 20 weeks w/ DS2, but later in the pregnancy he was ALL boy. The dr. showed me the '3 lines' and all.....not sure what it was, though.....not a vagina!
I would get a 3rd opinion at a private place....just to be sure.....
It does look girl but I would want another look too.

Oh dear... so sorry this happened to you. The same thing happened to my friend, it was a swollen clitoris in her early scan.
Thank you.. that gave me a little hope, I guess. The legs were not wide open this time. Last time it was wide open, that was where I saw the penis (or at least it looked like). I have appointments on January 5th and March 13th. I hope I'll find out by then. Thank you all..
