Time sensititve please! Will acijel help?

Hey girls. Some of you may know me as toddsweezie from IG way back. I dont post here often.

DH and I...while heavily medicated (me) dtd 2 days ago and we used NO bc at all. I will O tomorrow i think, or sunday if I am really lucky. We do want to sway girl WHEN we ttc, but it isn't now,I am going through mental health issues (lol, just told the entire fam I am NEVER having another child...) so this evening I added half a tube of acijel. i only have one ph ion strip left to test with, but will that much acijel kill any sperm that may have survived the 2 days? I am HSO with W cm right now, I have not had EW for a few months.

I CAN'T get pregnant right now, I just had a friggin nervous breakdown and am off my rocker! Preganncy will make everything worse. Or, that said...if the acijel ISN'T going to kill the sperm off, should I just get dh to go for a full on attempt? I may not O til sunday....that would put me back into BOY territory but then if I O tomorrow and we only dtd tonight would that be too soon anyway?

help, I just don't know what to do...if we have another, we both really want a girl...I will go test my ph right now....it is less than 4.5 which is as low as it reads, so i am guessing its at 4 cause it looks 1 shade lighter.

as for tother sway factors, i got girl everything right, no ewcm ever anymore, stressed out of my mind, lost 15 lbs this last 6 weeks, barely ever eat...pretty set on that ground at least. any thoughts?

IDK if I could get DH to jump on board to go dtd with the hope of makinga girl anyway....

Otherwise, it is not too late for Plan B...

Acijel won't do anything to kill sperm in the vagina now because it only takes about 5-10 minutes for sperm to travel through the cervix. Right now they'd be waiting in the Fallopian tube. I had an oops with this pregnancy too...O'd 3 days after a night of fun on CD30!...Woops!
Anyway, when I started to realize that I was going to ovulate(strips started fading in)I took some Benadryl before O day to dry out the mucus in my body. Otherwise, I didn't do much and I'm pregnant with my first girl after 3 boys:)

If pregnancy is absolutely not an option...I'd say Plan B would be an idea. I hope you find peace with whatever you decide is best. I'm so sorry that you're dealing with mental health issues:( Big hugs, Mama xoxo

I thought that if you brought your ph down to super low it woul kill sperm at least thats what IG always said...and they said you could just use fingertips at your V opening. lol, my crotch is o fire from all the acijel I used. they said it went all the way up the tract...to everywhere...at least most of that I have done will sway pink. I cant use plan b, its against my personal belief system :)

does pregnancy from a 3 day cut off happen often? oh dear....

I haven't been on IG much...don't trust much of their research over there. Acijel would only bring it down so much, and I have no clue if it would make the entire Fallopian tube low in pH. I conceived this little girl with a pH of 7 so I guess it's all just a crap shoot sometimes. There isn't a whole lot you can do right now. The majority of pregnancies are the result of sex 1-3 days before O. You have a 25% chance of pregnancy each cycle, I believe. I wouldn't get too worried...
The only reason I worried was because I have gotten pregnant once while on the pill and twice the first month we TTC. I knew it was easy and I figured I had a good chance...I was right;) Good luck!

oh, dh and I are super fertile. I get KU using spermicide if I dont also have a diaphragm in! Even then I have goten KU. All m kids were one hit shots. we are very very fertile....tha said, I ahve had several mc since our lat baby. I have a 2 cm polyp in my uterus that may be making implant hard....so not sure to worry. I am SURE I will get KU if I O in the next day or 2, but if it sticks is another story...

worse off, iam on a bunch o meds for my anxiety ately (sorry for the typing, soned herer..) and I will have to stop taking in case!!!!

I'm sorry x I agree with DM, the sperm are way up in your fallopian tubes and the Aci-jel won't touch them there. That's what they say on IG but it just doesn't make any sense. I hope you're not too sore from all that Aci-jel, it doesn't sound like something which would be particularly comfortable! If you're can't use Plan B then I think you just have to sit tight and wait and see. Wishing you the very best x

I can tell you with 100% certainty that if you DTD 2 days ago the sperm are long gone out of reach of anything you put in your vj a day or two later. The sperm go up and "hide" some in the cervix but others go up further into the Fallopian tubes and hang there. I know what IG says but they're wrong which is why I left IG and came over here instead.

Your entire repro tract churns out high pH CM (and secretions that will try to wash away low pH) especially at ovulation and there is NO WAY that a fingertip of anything at your cervix can POSSIBLY diffuse through your entire repro tract. Even a whole applicator of acijel. Your body doesn't "like" or "want" to have low pH because it "knows" that low pH prevents pg and so it does anything it can to keep pH in the 7's which is good for ALL SPERM both X and Y.

If you put a fingertip of baking soda on your tongue, even if you gargle with baking soda water, you CANNOT change the pH of your stomach acid, because your stomach "wants" to be acid and just makes more acid to raise pH. A fingertip of anyything doesn't even diffuse that far and washes away in seconds.

Anyway, TBH I think your non-sway is actually pretty decent (I know tons of women who swayed and failed only to conceive girls by accident doing nothing) and I would ABSOLUTELY not do any more attempts. You don't want to get pg as it is and more attempts will only increase odds of that happening. The meds and weight loss will sway pink for you.

Thanks girls. Ok, I will sit tight. I O a couple of hours ago which gives me an O-3 so we will see. IDK what kind of territory that really is, but all 3 of my boys were on O day and my one girl was from days before so maybe pink...shoot. I wish I had had a brain at the moment, not the la di da oooh Im so high its all good thought! I figured in my drugged ramblings that he was going at it full force knowing nothing was tehre with precum like crazy so what was the diff? LOL. Big diff I think. I just have a feeling I will be pregnant for sure. IDK why, but I think its going to happen. I will have to go off my meds ina couple of days I guess...with O being toady i am good until implant right?

I think going off the meds sooner rather than later is a good idea. :)
