None of the supplements have been super effective for us (as in, they didn't work at all and we've totally given them up in most cases) with the exception of fiber. But you don't have to take that, either - I didn't.
And of course everyone should take folate or folic acid for a safe and healthy pregnancy.
Oh thank god. I anyways hate supplements..
Fiber in the sense can I eat any food rich in fiber?? Or again is there a supp??
Most people take a supp but if you prefer to just eat fiber rich foods that is fine as long as they're not fortified.

I don't recommend brands of supplements. There are too many types out there.
I like pink swayers to aim at 1200-1600 mcg (that is micrograms, not milligrams) daily thru the whole first trimester, then gradually wean off by spacing doses further and further out till down to one per week, then drop them.
The supplement I am looking at contains folic acid, iron, manganese and copper. Is it ok or should I buy only folic acid ones???
Just folic acid. not only might those other things sway, but taking the amount of folic you needed would cause you to go overboard with the minerals, which could be very harmful.
Ok atomic I ll aim for just folic acid ones��. One tab per day
But I couldn't find any folic acid supp without any other ingredient. There are some amount of manganese, iron or etc etc..

Yes that one is fine, the magnesium in that is just a small amount used to formulate the pill.

It's my 2nd month ttc and I got back AF today.. Last cycle I had 2 attempts unintentionally coz my ovulation was delayed.. Now I am worried that if 2 attempts didn't get me pregnant, will one attempt do. DH is not cooperating now..:-(
Pls tell me if I have to change anything that I am doing or should I continue with the same..
Currently I am eating 2 solid meals a day, three large mugs of coffee everyday, 70-75 mins of walking everyday.
I haven't included any supp, not even folic acid. Can I start with folic acid from now or it's better to drop??
Atomic will reply but im 99.9 % sure we should all be taking folate or folic acid! This is for the health of baby and we should take it while ttc xox
Yes, you can get pregnant from one attempt even if you had a month that two attempts didn't get you pregnant. It's fine to go to two if you'd like, but you can absolutely get pregnant with one. People assume that when they don't get pregnant in a certain month it's due to something they did or didn't do but most of the time it's just that it wasn't the month, sperm didn't find an egg or the sperm/egg was not quite right.
do you have totals for fat, protein, and calories?
PLEASE start folic acid right away! It may help prevent birth defects in unborn babies.

Yeah! I have a rough estimate..
Calories- 1000-1200..
Protein- 45-50g..
Fat- 35-40g..
Carbs- 150g (50%)
Fiber- 15-20g..
Is it fine or do I need to change something..

You need 1200-1600 mcg daily so however many tabs that is.
I prefer more like 1500-1800 cals for most people. 1200 is barest minimum and only like 3% of people should be on that intake.
Coffee intake depends on how used you are to caffeine. I regularly drink that much but many people can only handle 1 or 2 cups per day.
No not at all, how much were you taking when swaying?? YOu need to continue the same amount you were taking during swaying until the end of the first trimester and then gradually wean off.
If you were taking more folic acid, DO NOT suddenly drop down to 400 mcg. Continue at however much you're taking till the first trimester is over and then wean back to the amount in your prenatal (or 400 mcg if you're only taking folic)

Right now I have 400mcg folic acid with me, so I ll take 2 tabs per day..
I ll àim to increase my calorie intake but I am feeling it difficult to get there..
I have come down to two large mugs of coffee per day.. Hope it helps..

If you weren't taking more than that for swaying it is said to be enough by many doctors, although I prefer you guys on 800-1000 mcg minimum. I got a baby with a mild neural tube defect taking 800 mcg and eating a super healthy diet so I worry that 400-500 is not quite enough. Your call to make.
