13w1d Nub Shot

This is out 13w1d nub shot. Would you say this is a boy or girl and how sure are you %wise?

We have two little boys already :)

Slight :DS: lean but wouldn't be shocked if you ended up with either.

There's a bump there that makes me lean boy.

Hmm why do you guys say boy? I thought the nub seemed very flat and parallel to the spine?

That white line is not the nub...the 2 things to the right at the end of that is what I am looking at.

I voted girl...but based on the white line, which the previous poster said is not the nub. Skull looks boy to me...

Is the white line the umbilical cord? So confused now as the tech told me that was the nub (but wouldn't guess at the sex)

Slight boy lean. The white line isn't the nub, IMO. Because the pic is taken on a slight angle from head to toe, the nub is quite hard to see. Skull looks slightly boyish. I'm going with 60/40 boy.

It could go either way. This is just guessing. The white line is not cord. That looks like 3 faint lines floating in space. To me, it loiled like part of a leg and I see a bump where I would expect the nub to be but I would not say anything is certain or even close off this one picture. You got a better look live and if you saw a flat nub then it could be a girl!

Thanks for all the guesses, I suppose I would be the one to get an ambiguous nub :tissue: It's funny because on the other website I have got 100% girl guesses, so I guess we just truly don't know. ETA the white line is definitely not the other leg, it's down in the bottom of the pic below the bump that may be scrotum, you can just make it out. It kept floating in and out of the image :)

Ok I have labeled it as the tech pointed out the parts to me. Short of a video (which I now wish I had lol) I thought this would be the most helpful

Right but what I am seeing is right at the tip of your red arrow pointing to the nub but below that that looks like a bump. It could go either way...I wish there were more pics!

Ugh yeah, no more pics. The peri wouldn't take a guess though the u/s tech whispered that it looked like a girl but she couldn't be sure. It definitely didn't look like my son at the same gestation (we saw the nub pointed skyward, and a scrotum, confirmed by a perfect turtle on the potty shot with his u/s) but of course lack of scrotum doesn't mean it's a girl! I will say I saw the long, parallel line the whole time so I was pretty confident it looked girly myself as I saw from multiple angles but now I am second guessing myself. Any chance the top long line is labia, the middle line clitoris, and the bottom bump labia? Perhaps if the baby is slightly rotated toward the "camera" this could be possible. I am just wondering what the heck the long white line is if it's not part of the genital area as we know it's not leg or umbilical cord.

If you didn't see anything obvious it very well may be a girl! My son was obvious too with both potty shot and nub so I know what you mean. If the tech thought girl then it likely is! KUP!

Oh I definitely will KYP. I really appreciate all the help and advice, and that no one is mocking me for my nubsessing lol

We arent seeing the full nub, 50/50.

Ok have booked a private gender scan for 16 weeks even (can't wait until my doctor scheduled one at 21 weeks!) Do you think it will be late enough to give a definitive answer?

I am surprised by all the boy guesses. I would have guessed GIRL.

Yes, at 16 weeks with a cooperative baby, you should get your answer! Be sure to update.

You are not alone, on the other website I posted on I got 9 guesses and they were all girl! So with the guesses on this thread that brings the total to 11 girl, 3 boy and 1 unsure.

50/50. I don't believe we are seeing the end of the nub and the end of the nub is what tells the story. If the nub extended past the bottom and wasn't cut off, I would say it was a classic girl nub but those two things give me pause. I hope you get your dg.

Your ultrasound looks exactly like mine! One tech on another site said it might be a girl but she wouldn't guess because there was stuff under it. That really bothered me because the techs usually guess when it is obvious which I thought mine was but who knows.I hope you get your girl because that's what I am hoping for. My 6 week ultrasound would indicate a girl based on ramzi theory so we will see. Did you do an earlier ultrasound as well? My gender scan is a week after yours, hopefully we both hear girl.

The bright white line looks too high and too long to be a nub, is that the nub? It looks deattached almost, can nubs do that? Gosh this stuff is confusing.
